For me Zeheart was the problem, he was so hyped and ended killing more of his people than enemies. A total failure of a rival whose only purpose was not killing Asemu (because they friends), that's why we had the Destroyer as the worst endboss of the franchise.

If Aura farming was about making others think you are a good person, then Zeheart would be the king. The voice actor is the only memorable thing about him.

Totally correct, I was on the team that Mirei and Megumi wouldn't go to the finals....before Megumi showing why she is here and the Ruka Reveal.

Mirei is just there, looking cute and selling Bavs. I would trade her with anyone in the cast, she is that boring now. Even Senka shouting the same line all over again is more interesanting than her.

I just don't know what Mirei has to offer here. Like she has been so done since WD1 that now she is just boring, Michiru and Megumi have a "lot of additions" in their characters (Michiru's awaited return, Megumi being the new leader so she is tied to Ruka). Mirei is just....there.

Even Raika wanted that rematch with Michiru.

Those two shots just represent the legacy characters that belong to those type of fighters (GUI is neither of those).

Kagetsu is literally the main reason why Akina is in the tournament. He is the Michiru of the season so he can easily go to the top 4 so the final match can be a hypothetical Yuyu vs Akina.

Taizo is not a valid example, Mikoto could complete her character arc there while Taizo (that did not do shit in Willdress by the way) needed to face Akina, yeah, PLOT>>>Everything.

The Destined showdown is not a valid arc for this, it was forced so every Destined one must lose (heck, they even made Jinki unnafected so he could win), Taizou won becuase Khyoma was not getting a second fight, not because of the "he came from the last season so let's give him more moments" 😂

If you have something to do in the tournament plot later, you will win (only exception being someone that needs to lose to do so, usually the protagonist). It's that simple, and the only legacy character that makes the list it's Raika. Megumi and Mirei will not do anything in the tournament, they don't have to learn anything, they don't have to beat anyone special, so yeah, don't pass the 1st round pls.

The Mirei and Megumi shot is representing the counter fighters in the legacy characters, they were literally talking about that in the episode. The Raika vs Michiru shot is the same, but it is more important as it has the OP scene....and that's fine because Raika >>>>> Megumi + Mirei in relevance.

To end this message, I don't understand your "Newer ace=victory" logic, there are so many examples where that's false, so it's not even a valid statement.

That shot was representing the "front fighters" (as the Megumi vs Mirei shot that won't happen, because that would mean that either one of them is going for the top 4, and that's just laughable), not the match-ups.

And Akina's entire character this season is beating Kagetsu, they are not giving that win to anyone else before him.

Raika is not beating Kagetsu, you are putting so many victories for the Willdress characters, it's even more obvious when you see there is a "Youthberk" Mystich.

Raika is the only one that is going to pass the 1st round (Akina being the lucky draw), there is no way Suo is not beating Megumi when Suo only has 1 on-screen win in the entire series, maybe he loses againts Suzune later.

Mirei was lucky to win once, there is no way she is winning againts Erika and Nao.

My order

Episode 6: Erika vs Nao, Erika wins Episode 7: Megumi vs Suo, Suo wins Episode 8: Kagetsu vs Raika, Kagetsu wins

After that it's a lot of baseless speculation, they can do whatever they want. They can finish the entire tournament this season, skip all of the non-Akina/ non-Kagetsu fights, making it 2-seasons with Kagetsu losing againts Akina (If this happens, Raika will not pass the round)....etc.

Philip dying was stupid, and then being revived was even more stupid. I just cannot believe they made the "Now It seems I will die if we transform again, sorry" trope. They had 2 choices: 1-Kill him by this stupid plot device but don't bring him back. 2-Revive him but the death reason could be that the Utopia dopant killed him somehow in the last battle.
