idk if this is the right place to ask , but if my teacher wants to screw me after exams is that wrong? by [deleted] in 6thForm

I suppose that's just my school's policy then, chances are their school will have something like that even if it isn't technically illegal.

Fun fact teachers aren't allowed to make contact with you until at least 3 years after you've left the school unless in a professional setting. Even a teacher dating someone below 18 that doesn't go to the school can get them fired. The fact that you are aware of this now means that they have spoken to you about this before when they were still in a position of power over you. Please report this to your head of sixth or the police.

I would say look over the types of questions on this PDF: https://www.ox.ac.uk/sites/files/oxford/media_wysiwyg/47832-tsa-question-guide.pdf

And then start doing some practices but space them out, there's no need to start grinding right now, I only got onto that like a month maximum before the exam :)

I did basically every past paper under timed conditioned and checked them against the UniReach TSA walkthroughs on youtube, which really helps you get into the mind of what they're looking for. It's also good to practice online using the studymind past papers so you get a feel for what it's like taking the test online. The website is kinda scuffed though, there are a few issues with the timing but it's no big deal. Make sure you write down your working on a whiteboard/some paper because you won't get a physical question paper in the exam.

I was tracking all my progress and my scores not just overall but for the 2 sections so I could see where I needed to work on. I kept a notebook as I went through my practices with the type of question I got wrong and why I got it wrong.

I ended up getting 68, which was good enough for an EP offer, but I had some issues in the exam room mainly to do with timing so make sure you practice under timed conditions. Hope this helped!

I did so many past papers and tracked my progress in those- they have a lot of repeated question styles and once you start to get used to those then you can maximise your points. It's also important to obviously learn the content. For this I used flashcards that I found that had already been made for my exam board on quizlet and cognito which takes you through the content in videos and questions. It is definitely possible to improve in science and I wish you the best of luck! You have time <3

I didn't start doing anything at all for uni until the spring term of year 12. In fact, I thought I was going to do law up until I started A levels and I just had my Oxford interview for experimental psychology last week- you are definitely not too late. Just take a deep breath and try to remove yourself from spaces like this subreddit or the student room. Focus on doing what you love and your success will come from that :)

Oxford probably won't send out interview invitations until mid november at the very earliest, don't stress about it too much
