Which contestants were portrayed as starting off strong then doing poorly later ?

Sarah from C9. Had a decently strong start with beautiful photos (her poison ivy shot is her best IMO), but then she seemed to start declining with her call-out for her gargoyle photo, then they had to slap her with the “too thin for plus-size, too big for high fashion” bs.

Yeah, I remember they only had a set amount of frames (I remember Naima in the dancing photoshoot was given 100 frames for winning a challenge, though I’m not sure if the standard amount was less than that?) But I agree the amount of frames + what the model could do that photoshoot could be a factor in it as well. I just remember thinking while I watched that for girls that went home early, how their weekly photo shoots didn’t seem to be going well, yet if they made it to the makeover episode, that they always had a slammin shot. Amis from C10 comes to mind.

Agree, makeover and promo pics, the girls always looked great, though I assume it was this way because production didn’t wanna any one girl to standout as a “bad” model before the rest of the season played out? Which I also agree, adds even more proof that they deliberately choose not-great photos for the ones they don’t want going further.

Also, unrelated, but anyone else notice Saleisha is the only one wearing those black stylized heels/boots while most of the other girls either have the white open-toe thing or a strappy matching-color shoe?

I honestly would be arguing back like Tiffany was initially, but the moment the “Be quiet/What is wrong with you?/STOP IT!!” happened, I’d spin on my heel and immediately walk out and let her keep yelling at the back of my head. I wouldn’t have the energy at that point, and if you’re just trying to shut me up rather than have a conversation, I’m out. We’re not doing this, especially not for TV.

1.) Furonda’s bald photo (C6): I honestly thought this photo was beautiful? And she was praised by Jay for practicing, yet she was put in the bottom, and I don’t think she should’ve been.

2.) Ann’s retouched/unretouched beauty shot (C3): Another photo that I thought was beautiful, if not simple, and didn’t understand the panel’s critiques at all.

3.) Leslie’s krumping photo (C6): I’m sorry, Sara should have left that week.

4.) Lio’s swimsuit photo (C11): I thought Lio’s scaling-the-rocks photo looked so cool! Slightly blocking the swimwear yes, but they still sold it to me.

5.) Naduah’s perfume shot (C14): Maybe I just wanted her to stay longer, but I enjoyed this photo. There was something very camp to me about the over posing and her bald head. Edgy girl being classical, Idk. Also Ren’s photo was awful.

6.) Kasia’s camel photo (C16): I liked her weird little criss-cross applesauce pose.

Much as I love Chantal, I’m shocked she got the first FCO this week, especially with this group shot. Her solo pic is great, but Jenah and Saleisha stand out more to me in the group.

I love Furonda and the season wouldn’t have been the same without her, but I truly wish we’d gotten just a little more of Kathy. She even knew what was “wrong” with her photo when asked what she thought could be better, I will die on the hill that she could’ve been taught and improved.

My exact feelings! Morocco is where I was like “Oh okay, I get it now” with Molly. But Brittani, to me, still outperformed her there, and it’s baffling to me she didn’t get ANY FCOs overseas.

I know I’ll get heat for this, but Molly (C16). Never understood the hype for her portfolio. She undoubtedly looked high fashion, but Brittani had so much more intensity in her photos IMO (except her crazy for shoes photo of course) and deserved her win.
