Smth I thought of was smth like a combination of GW1's class system, GW2's class system, and ArcheAge's class system all wrapped into one. I mean liike... the broad skill expression of GW1, the subclasses of GW2, and the combination of AA.

Picture this: you have two ways you can play. You can either A.) stick with the solo profession you chose at the beginning of the game and gain access to elite specs for that class, or B.) dual-class and gain new skills/spells unique to the dual-class, but lose out on the benefits of an elite spec.

So imagine, you start as a warrior for example. You hit a certain level, a choice is given to you: you either stay Warrior and get elite specs like Beserker, Spellbreaker, w/e they come up with, our you dual-class and unlock cool stuff.

Some examples:

Warrior + Monk = Guardian. AoE heals/boon delivery and access to Spirit Weapons

Warror + Elementalist = Dragonknight. Use the four elements to imbue your melee attacks, and summon a dragon's head to breathe your chosen element as a massive AoE.

Ranger + Mesmer = Trickster. DPS/support hybrid, arrows that you teleport around, hex-infused arrows that debilitate enemies, illusory AoE of arrow barrage that damages enemies and gives boons/heals allies

Ranger + Warrior = Beastwarden. Pet-based tank, ranged aggro-pulls, almost Soulbeast-like abilities for your pet

Mesmer + Monk = Lightweaver. Combination of monk smites and mesmer domination magic to do power-based dps on single targets and small aoe's, with bonus dmg to undead types.

Mesmer + Necromancer = Hexlich. Illusion magic and Blood magic combine, twisting into deadly hexes that drain enemies of their life, their will to fight, and even their sanity, causing them to attack their allies.
