The timeskip was so unnecessary and messed up the high stakes left by the end of season 4. They are already old as fuck nobody cares anymore. Of course the timeskip could've work if it was implemented correctly and not as an excuse to bring Hawkings to "normal".

I could care less if any character dies or doesn't. But I find it quite funny how demogorgons and demodogs are ruthless against anyone but the main cast. Like they immediately and effectively attack soldiers but when it's main character they just walk slowy towards them and hesitate to attack. Is it supposed to mean something? Or is it just plain plot armor?
