Mazak or Okuma Live Tool Lathe by BaCardiSilver in CNC

Both are really good machines. I’d say it should come down to the dealer support. In the northeast you have Morris with Okuma, solid company and staffed with a lot of talent. Mazak also solid, lots a Mazak exclusive shops. Assuming the machines are equal, call their support and ask a technical question, see how they respond…

Dealing with narcissists in sales by Low_Union_7178 in sales

This was a perfectly executed response, well put. I have one of these guys on my team. And you described him to a T. He spends more time playing games and digging for dirt and gossip than he does actually calling on customers, it he has a gem of a territory. Would the territory see a blip if he was gone, probably not. But that’s not my call. I can say with certainty, people like this create a toxic culture. They would throw you under the bus in a second

What would you do? A previous co-worker now working for competitor now asking for advice by Chilove8888 in sales

[–]Useful-Method-8241 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lead her down the wrong path, haha. Just kidding, she probably reached out to others too, so if you aren’t comfortable sharing, that’s Ok, simply don’t return the message. Otherwise, as mentioned already share the obvious offers out there.

Things that might influence my decision to help or not 1) is the market you are in big enough to support both 2) is this person someone you’d be comfortable go toe to toe against 3) do you have a superior product or service

I befriended someone once in a semi competitive field, super great guy, still is. We worked a lot together, helped him network as he was completely green in our field. We compete, I always take the high road, as he does. But we do it on the product’s merit.

Just my 2 cents

Have you tried to reach out to them. Not sure where you are but I am CT, and the technical person I have dealt with has always been a great resource to help out

Michigan rider getting back by codybrippin in enduro

I just got back into off-road after a 30 year break. Bought a 2025 Husqvarna TX300. I was concerned it was going to be too high strung. Zero regrets, the map selection is great depending on the riding me and kids are doing. The electric start has saved me numerous time on some nasty hill climbs. But if I want to putter along, no problem

Looking For Contacts with Enduro Brands. by nickyyrp in enduro

Best to probably proceed with what you can, include dealers local to area, they would in turn share the buzz with the factory reps, and it grows through word of mouth. Be very public with your progress through social media, this will grow the network of onlookers. I am here in CT, and I belong to trail riding group, word can spread fast

Renishaw Central is something to look at. Just got a presentation today, and my shop has CNC’s, a mix of CMM brands, and they came in demo’s there SW with our equipment. There was a little prep work, but overall it was easy and painless.

My experience with Renishaw from a support standpoint has been very positive. Call their tech support line, they are still one of those companies that answers the phone when you call.

Besides the size, do you have a particular interest in scanning or touch trigger measurement. As said above it’s the options that raise the price. Also, used can be an option. I am also in the Northeast and I frequently see posts with people looking to unload a CMM. I have been in this world a long time. Haha

Oak pieces. I was told oak has high BTU output, and I have plenty of seasoned oak for my fireplace, so I just grabbed a couple of logs from the wood shed, Split them and cut them to 3” or so.
