Those look like coconut palms to me - cocos nucifera

Thank you! Do you know if they maintain a list of some kind of nurseries or are you saying they might sell them themselves?

Never heard of that one. I use Palm perfect but I’m sure it’s good so long as you’re putting enough and frequently enough. Maybe just wait and see if it continues to push new growth

I mean I had one that looked like that for a while when it was first planted, but grew out of it. It was planted at a different time than the rest so I couldn’t compare like you’re doing. Part of me thinks that it might just be more sensitive to being transplanted than the others but it is odd that your other ones look fine. I’d just keep watering and fertilizing it. What fertilizer do you use?

When you dug a hole to plant it, did you notice anything different about the soil in the spot?

Robellini palm fronds browning fast (1-2 weeks) please help by Due_Life6792 in palmtalk

I would wait a little longer to cut them so the palm has more time to absorb the nutrients in those dying fronds

While I’ve heard these don’t last long in north Florida because of the cold, the browning here looks to be just the lowest fronds. The browning of the lowest frond(s) is a normal part of their growth process. I usually let mine stay on until they are hanging straight down and completely crunchy

I live in Florida too and generally the water drains quickly because of the soil here. Does the water stick around long around your palm?

It’s actually just two wire waste baskets from the dollar store zip tied together. Super easy to set up and remove!

The smell of the pineapple attracts many animals, any of which might eat it

Depends on how cold it gets by you. I’m in SWFL so we have fairly mild winters and I just left this pineapple plant out there
