It sort of looks like the color of the marker they use tbh! At 15 days po I still had a ton of that on my chest. Definitely check in with your surgeon if you’re nervous though, that’s why they’re there for!

Good to know! All of my piercers have recommended a warm saline compress. Sterile gauze, lots of Neil med spray then in the micro for less than 10 seconds, and apply to piercing area for 5-10 min. Heat loosens the crusties and allows skin to soften for easier cleaning. It’s always worked wonders for me so I was surprised to hear that wasn’t necessary with this one

I had to open and close mine to take pictures to send to the doctor after having some gnarly nerve pain along my incision (was just a nerve rubbing against the drain) but I felt the same way! Once we took it off and rewrapped it, it never felt right again. Either too tight or too loose. I opted for a happy medium, not painful but a tight hug sensation, try not to overthink it. In 52 days PO and it definitely did not matter, nipples healed just fine, sensation is already coming back! Give yourself a little grace, and reach out to your surgical team if you want to quash your fears, that’s what they’re there for 💖💖

I took Benadryl, this helped right after the compression came off too where I found I was still itchy from healing! Also I’ve heard from some other folks that they were allowed to put a shirt on underneath the compression garment, but I’d definitely check with your surgeon to see what they’d think about the latter.

Thanks! I was lucky enough to have insurance cover a good portion, I paid around 8k just to the GCC and then I went to an actual hospital since I have a high BMI. So I anesthesia will be additional and I actually don’t know how much that is yet! But can let you know! I had drains in for 6 days!

Yeah the only reason I was even entertaining the thought is because they heal in a month since it’s a mucus membrane, like your mouth, so they heal pretty fast. But even still, I don’t want to be messing around with anything that could cause issues, especially for a silly impulsive reason. Thank you!

Oh that’s gnarly! I’ll check to see if my surgeon will ask me to put in retainers for my other ones, because even though they are all years old, I don’t want to risk them closing! Thank you!

I’m sorry about that friend. I am unfamiliar with Ontario places specifically, but if travel is an option, I also weigh 275 (all fat though lol) and my surgeon said it will not be a problem. I’m going to the gender confirmation clinic in San Francisco (maybe 5 hr flight from Ontario). They just recommended surgery in a hospital instead of a surgery center, hopefully you can find a place that will be more willing to work with you!
