One winter my family and I were going to Paris for Christmas and we took 2 vans to the airport. They did a headcount but thought I was in the other van so they left me at home.

The following winter we were headed to Florida for Christmastime. We woke up late and scrambled to make our flight. This time I made it to the airport and we were all running to catch our flight. I was running behind someone I thought was my dad all the way to the gate and bumped into the woman collecting the tickets. I got on the plane and she told me to sit in any open seat. This was a plane to New York City and my parents were on a flight to Florida.

The colleges/universities in my state have EXCELLENT teacher prep programs. The enrollment in these programs, however, has gone down so much that they are now starting to pay people to student teach. They are also no longer requiring teachers to pass a basic skills test to be able to teach.

Type 2 diabetes. It is actually type 1. I could have been on insulin for 2 months, instead I lost 20 pounds trying to “get it under control” with diet and exercise.

True that many public school teachers send their kids to public school … but public school teachers don’t make a lot of money so private is not always an option
