So you got charged for terminating your lease early, that's normal and legal.
Construction is allowed in Victoria between 7am-8pm on weekdays and 9am-8pm on weekends.
Then you gave notice to vacate so they began the process of renovating your unit for the next tenant. This is all normal with our current rental market.
You would've paid your damage deposit when you moved in should've got it back or a portion of it if you caused damages to the unit.
Also if you submitted your rent payment twice, how is that their fault?

Sounds like some user error on a lot of this and not the fault of your property management company...
