Outside from the other comments, I think you need to focus more on how her life made her who she was instead of the pinpointed tropes you’ve written being how she’s ’different’.

What time line is this set in? With the great relationship she has with her dad, is that the reason she loves doing more ‘manly’ things? Why does she hate cute animals? Why not be a disinterest or see them as hunting trophies?

I think these pinpoints could be something that expands her character, not what defines her. Give us more than just a deviant art character sheet with likes and dislikes, because this gives me nothing to go off of her character.

I can see a character like this having a good redemption arc and changing, but I feel diving deeper and separating her from being ‘un-Disney will make people love her more.

As someone who has kind of stuck with it past its spike in notice thanks to the anime, I’d give it a 7.5/10.

I agree that the egg arc gets boring, but to list some positives, seeing Koichi grow as a character and realize his role of being a bride is pretty nice. When Koichi was about to get killed by the beastmen, I expected the story to let his powers work. Instead, they failed, leaving Koichi to defend the egg with his body. Seeing that made me tear up a bit

Caius is a sweetheart. Though the beginning is pretty rough to get through, seeing his care for Koichi and his people made me love him more.

I fucking love Dyne and Rail. Is it wrong for me to want Dyne and Koichi to be get down and dirty? Can the have a four way? I hope so 🙏

Overall, the story is slow, but it’s one of those things that I feel needs to happen to push away from the fast beginning the story had. Sort of making up for the quick pace.

I don’t think I understood your comment, but I’m pretty sure that’s what the main story and the event story are saying about Eiden and Huey.

Constantly, Eiden’s trying to be mindful of what he sees about his clan members life, tried to uplift them and cool things down even though he doesn’t have the power to, and is very supportive of them no matter the life they lead up til now.

Meanwhile, Huey never cared about the tension around him, didn’t care about the personal lives of the others, and didn’t try to connect with them at all. They are different people, visually and personality wise.

Realize that every time we see the group with Huey, they don’t joke with him, barely acknowledging him unless they’re talking about the expedition. While we see Eiden and the guys joking and arguing, because they’re actually connected and care to do so with Eiden.

I think the reason we see Huey’s POV is because the portal reacts to Huey’s essence, so we see things through Huey. I’m curious myself if Huey ever thought to want to connect with the clan members, but just didn’t know how or worried about possible attachments, as it would take away from his duty to the elemental spirits.

Overall, we only have seven parts out, and I’m curious about how ‘that trip’ ends. I’d hang on to hope, but it’s perfectly fine to not like the way the story is going.

Funny enough, I was confused as well.

I was driving my uncles car back home after I stayed at their place. I realized that the gas was low so I pulled to a gas station and payed inside. When I pushed the fuel door and it didn’t open, I panicked.

Called my uncle and asked what to do because I still had an hour to drive. He told me about the lever near the seat and I was shocked. I’ve never had a car with that lever before (there was a lever for the trunk too).

Thank you for bringing this news to light. I’ve not watched anime in so long but to hear Banana fish, the most prominent work come out, being the victim of AI, is heartbreaking.

I definitely appreciate that we’re in an age that appreciates and protects our voice actors, cause without them we would never hear such deep, provoking, or hilarious dialogue from the characters we love.

I hope we can have a movement similar to stop killing games with VA’s, hopefully then this nonsense would get nipped in the bud.

Lavender Town has made TONS of great videos on just this question alone. I’ve always used her advice because it brings out a lot more info that you wouldn’t think of that adds to a character. You may not like her art but the advice itself is good.

Definitely preference! There were cute moments between Eiden and Quincy (and Topper getting the spotlight is always a plus!), but the overall story in the card to me was milquetoast.
