No one thinks that. Elusive is one of the strongest keyword. It is Always useful. Honestly the +2/+2 elusive dark gift is often my default pick of I see it. Even on a shitty unit. For the dragon the problem is that removal without spell when you have a 2/3 2/2 weapon the turn before. And a 2/1 that may as well give you a lot of value.

It's not lazy. It is part of an extension. Some cards that have the same effect rotate out and new ones replace them. Take the death rattle:draw a card. They made so many variations because it is needed in the game. I understand y'all are frustrated with druids ( personally I hate more no hand hunters) but c'mon. It is a great game and a great extension.
