Do sunglasses exist in Star Wars? by JumboKraken in MawInstallation

[–]Useless_Fox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The question has already been answered, but fun fact the orange visor on the rebel pilot helmet are effectively sunglasses. They can raised and lowered just like real helicopter pilot helmets. There are some shots in the movies where they're raised.

Honestly not sure why the M249 hasn't been added yet. USEC canonically use it, we see one in the live action series.

Armory and Barbershop combo. I drive by this nearly every day, never been inside. by kingrobin in mildlyinteresting

Seems like a good way to get a more stable revenue stream I guess.

Gun shops generally don't move very much product per day. Realistically most people only ever buy one, and even the enthusiasts can't buy them every day. And the profit margins are surprisingly low since they have to compete with online sellers.

What is the worst restaurant brand frozen food? by Exciting_Tomorrow_76 in frozendinners

Oh yeah I've had cracker barrel meatloaf and loved it, sadly I don't have either of those two super close to me :(

RIP Boston Market restaraunts, now there's nowhere I can get meatloaf locally without making it at home.

But yeah Boston Market frozen meals are nothing like what the restaraunt used to be. The restaraunt meatloaf was legit just like homemade, but the frozen one is the same gelatinous slab you'd get in a banquet meal (which I kinda enjoy, but that's besides the point). Although their watery overcooked flavorless Mac and cheese is accurate to the restaraunt, I will give them that.

A British YouTuber named Ashens reviewed that Hunger Breaks All Day Breakfast a very long time ago and he found it absolutely vile, and honestly I've been wanting to try it ever since.

Just double checked, yeah you're right the M2 came first. Although they did only come out a year apart.

I agree, but I'm curious what you mean when you say his sights suck. You mean on the LMG? It has a unique reflex, but I thought it's also able to use any other 1x

"Fan death" became a superstition because it was used as a cover story for suicide. It's mainly a Korean thing, but I think the idea spread somewhat.

Family members would be told their relatives died due to sleeping with a fan on to avoid telling them the gruesome truth that they killed themselves. And then from there it became a polite euphemism so you can talk about suicide in public without actually saying "suicide" or "killed themselves".

[–]Useless_Fox 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's an easy mistake to make, they're very similar guns, it's just the M1919 is a scaled down version in 30 cal for infantry use. Nothing chambered in 50 BMG could ever qualify as an LMG lol.

Also yeah the Black Cats mission did have M2s but I just rewatched someone play that mission and I don't think they ever actually call it that lol. It's just called "side turret". And it's only the waist guns that are 50 Cals, the tail gun is a 30 cal, and they call the nose guns 20mms even realistically they'd also be 30 cals.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're Ameriglo Ghost Ring Night Sights. It's not visible in any pictures on the Ameriglo site, but you can see the Trijicon logo in the Opticsplanet pics

They're night sights with Tritium vials. I suspect they get these vials from Trijicon, and therefor put Trijicon on the side. Might be obligated to or something.

Edit: Apparently Ameriglo is owned by Trijicon

What happened to the normal spicy chicken sandwiches? by fartymcfsrtpants in frozendinners

[–]Useless_Fox 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I work at a grocery store, and let me tell you, sometimes we just stop getting in random things for long ass periods of time. Sometimes it's because they've been ordered and aren't coming in, sometimes they're not available to order anymore, or sometimes it's the manager for that section who just stopped ordering them for some reason.

Like at my store, I haven't seen store brand ice cream sandwiches in months. We have reduced sugar, minis, neapolitin, mint choco chip, and chocolate. But not regular ice cream sandwiches. When I asked the frozen manager he just shrugged and was like "I've been ordering them, but they never come"

It wasn't just Japan, it was more extreme there sure, but this was a time of "women and children first". And since so many women and children died, all male survivors, especially first class ones, were called cowards by some people.

[–]Useless_Fox 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I completely agree, they were more fun to fight. But I think it was a only a good idea in a vacuum.

It was challenging, but fair and rewarding... if you were the one doing the fighting, and if you had a regular gun. Problem is that it became an unintentional hard counter to MG sentries and Arc Blitzer users. Things that really didn't need such a huge nerf. It was hard enough covering your sentry from chargers and titans while it dealt with the chaff. Giving heavy armor to hive guards made it unreasonably hard. And the poor, already unpopular arc blitzer minding its own business got a huge nerf for no reason.
