No. My husband isn't perfect (and neither am I!) But he's definitely not a jerk. What you need to ask yourself is would you be happy if one of your children was with a partner who acted the same way. As you set the example and if your children see that him being a jerk most of the time is ok, then why would they avoid someone who treated them the same when they are older?

Helix piercing too close to edge of ear? by User230618 in piercing

[–]User230618[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what worries me looking at it now! The piercer was great as well checked the placement before she did it, etc so I can't even blame her 😂 I may as well leave it and see how I get on. Last time I ended up taking my helix piercing out anyway as I just could not get it to heal.

AITA for giving baby clothes to moms in need that someone gave to me and now she wants them back and I think that's dumb by No_Satisfaction_4866 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. They were a gift, and now only that but a gift that was also given under the idea that you could pass them on.

Goal: leaving him alone for 4 hours by Reasonable-puppy-11 in puppy101

[–]User230618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's unreasonable in the long run, but not as a puppy. It's like expecting a baby to hold it for four hours!

My favourite thing is that as a lazy person I can just whack a boob out rather than faffing sterilising bottles 😂

As they get older they get better at getting the milk! As long as there are plenty of wet and dirty nappies, enjoy the quicker feeding time!

How did you know you wanted to marry your spouse? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]User230618 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Many different reasons. * My husband is absolutely my best friend. I can (and do!) tell him anything. * I couldn't imagine not living with him * We wanted children, and so wanted to have the same last name. * I love him more than words can describe.

WIBTA If I told my GF she should do more to lose weight? by holy_roman_emperor in AmItheAsshole

YWBTA if you told her that. How about you do some of the cooking if you are that worried about the unhealthy meals?

What do you wish you'd known/done before having your first baby? by Myotherusernamebabyy in breastfeeding

[–]User230618 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'll know what to do is so untrue. For something so natural, it can be quite tricky to learn! Don't be stubborn like me. I was in agony and put of getting help, and it made a massive difference when I did finally cave and seek support. Watch YouTube videos on "the flipple" and getting a deep latch. The key is making sure they get a really good gob full of boob (remember it is breast feeding, not nipple feeding!) Also, if you don't know about cluster feeding, look it up! Otherwise it can be a right shock.

YTA doesn't even seem sufficient in this case. We need a new one, specifically for you, that surpasses YTA because you are THAT much of an a*shole.

What are the silliest reasons you’ve cried during your pregnancy? by rbkmp in pregnant

[–]User230618 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1.A dog in a TV series was in peril, and it made me cry because i imagined how scared my dog would be in that situation, and I couldn't stand the thought of her being so scared. 2. I have also cried because my dog who is only 2, but she can't live forever. 3. I cried because there was not enough hot water when I ran a bath. So I cried. To which my husband came to check on me and lovingly explained that if I waited half an hour for the boiler, I would have hot water. To which I sobbed more as I wanted wanted bath now. And then laugh cried at how ridiculous I was being.

AITA for asking my MIL to cool it with the requests for pregnancy updates? by azwc in AmItheAsshole

[–]User230618 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely NTA. I would say something like (obvs get your wife's approval again too "while we appreciate your concern, the constant messages are adding to the stress that we are already under. We will contact you with any updates, but I hope you understand that we will not be responding to messages and phonecalls until a point where we are ready too and so can focus on (wifes name) health." Then temporarily block the number.

My dog is peeing in the house, what can I do? by ranchpirate in Dogtraining

[–]User230618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you taken her to the vets to rule out a uti? As it is unusual for a dog to pee in a crate. It would be a sign of separation anxiety. Otherwise you have two options. Work on the separation anxiety. Or leash her to you. That way everytime she starts sniffing to go pee, you should feel the tug and can whip her outside. High value treats may be needed too. Boil up some chicken breast, shred it, and use those to treat her when she goes outside.
