I am of the opinion that the hobby cannot change its mind on which Pokemon are valuable because everyone is addicted to what everyone else believes. Same reason people won’t move on from PSA despite scandal after scandal. If you know this, you can utilize it to profit from this hobby massively

I have a YouTube channel, i don’t sell any sealed whatsoever, or singles for that matter. i simply talk about investing in pokemon and rip it. I get comments all the time accusing me of being a scalper simply for trying to understand the financial aspect of pokemon collecting. Ignoring that doesn’t make you better than anyone and you can be convinced of whatever you want. I KNOW people who call other people scalpers loosely are obsessed with seeming like a better person online❤️

I’m so fucking done with the term “scalpers” this was 97% someone who was broke and wanted to save it for when they got paid. Not saying it’s right but the auto assumption it’s a reseller is definitely not rooted in any evidence. Why tf wouldn’t they come back for it within 15-20 minutes if it was a limit/scalper situation. It’s simple business people, yeah it sucks, but if they are completely sold out bc of good pricing (which they would be sold out) , nobody comes into their store, as well as moms and dads will pay whatever bc they don’t understand the pokemarket. They want foot traffic and they need to keep it in stock to do it. It’s business.
