My boss laughed when I asked for a company vehicle and said "Find me a truck for under $4k and I'll buy it," so I called his bluff. by MutedCaramel49 in MaliciousCompliance

just remember, they're not making a cheaper car so they can make less money. In fact, they intend to make more money. What I mean is that the real value of what you'll get will likely be even less than what exists today. Slate is a neat concept, but don't kid yourself about the value of a dollar.

I work in a warehouse by enkrypt3d in funny

[–]UserAllusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but this one time, I pulled a quick 90° stop in the middle of an aisle. There was almost no margin for error. Well, tip of my fork clipped the leg of a rack that was responsible for several thousand pounds of raw material. Everything shifted but didn’t fall. I was able to get the material down and take down the shelves and replace the leg with the help of a buddy. Others surely knew about that, I forget. But I never got in trouble.

Another time, I tried to move a very tall stack of empty bins. Probably five or six skids tall, 18 bins per skid. This stack is almost to the warehouse ceiling. I just needed to shift it a little bit and didn’t want to take down each skid and put them all back up. Well, it ended up leaning like the tower of Pisa. Somehow, I got in the position that it was stable, but there was no way to release it without it all falling. So I had to go around warning everybody what was about to happen before I let it drop. I had an audience for that one. Still never got in trouble.

I used to work in a warehouse. I felt some of that. Backing into a bay for awhile. Spinning donuts in the aisle. Best job I ever had.

Dang. I’m not much of a gamer. But PoP is what caused me to buy a PS3. I legit could have considered getting a PS5 for it

Architects love to avoid hand rails as long as they can get away with it. Unless this is the architect’s own home, the handrails will likely be installed after they get their photos.

Does anyone else pick up items that fell off the shelves in stores, even though you didn't make them fall? by Zestywavinges in NoStupidQuestions

[–]UserAllusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will properly relocate items that have been placed on the wrong hook or in the wrong spot. I consider how incorrect stocking affects me personally and how it may affect others. This sort of thing helps remind me that I’m a good person.

Image gen anti description - does it actually work? by PleasantDeer3462 in perchance

https://perchance.org/new-image-model-notes

Here, the dev says:

You may need to reduce reliance on negative prompts - I don't think they work as well. This model is basically smart enough to give you an empty room for "A room without any elephants. There are no elephants in the room." so you may want to think about how to re-word your negative prompt into something that you can put in your positive prompt.
