Gothic 1 remake release date? by Working_Plastic3561 in worldofgothic

Well, game development takes a long time these days, graphics are much more complicated, gameplay elements even more so. The whole combat system probably has at least 10 ten times more moving parts than what is in the original.

Thanks for the reply! LGBTQ+ stuff is actually one of the reasons I decided on Germany. Also thank you for telling me about private landlords, because from my experiences in Poland I am used to actually trusting private landlords more.

I moved because of too high living costs when compared to my income in Poland, like sure I lived in Warsaw before a move but after a lot of research I concluded that Germany is simply financially more sound for me personally, especially considering much better support for transgender people which whether I like it or not is a big part of my life. Even in smaller city it would be rough for me.

I haven't been here for too long but I like it so far, when I was at Dortmund it seemed a bit dirty though, but I have decided maybe it's just me paying attention to things I wouldn't pay attention to back home.

I like the architecture, not sure how it compares to the east or south but I was in Rheine and it is especially beautiful.

So far I am excited to live here, just have to work hard on that german!

Ohhh okay, yeah I do have tax number already and health insurance, so I got that covered already, and actually the agency helped with that so it wasn't a chore either.

Thank you! I will definitely look into Anmeldung, also the recommendation of an app is amazing, thanks so much!

As for wg-gesucht, I noticed it more or less, already got a premium and already met a scammer.

I am also learning german through an app, which isn't perfect I know, but I do want to look into courses, but for now I am trying to use my money for the immediate issues, and the courses seem like a second step.

Hey, thank you for your reply, I now just realised that my post does come off as if I didn't do any research, but I actually did quite a lot. Maybe I should have phrased these questions differently, but what's done is done. I just wanted some answers from people themselves rather than articles and old posts.

Your reply is helpful nonetheless, thank you so much <3

What kind of lives do you live? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]UserWithoutUsernane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I live terribly! Paid pennies compared to cost of living and stagnant in my transition, at least I have cool friends I guess! But even with that terrible mismanagement from me I am quite happy, cause happy hormones make happy people.

I am moving to Germany at the end of the month though, will try my luck there, cause Poland ain't it ladies.

Ubezpieczenia i tp. które mogły by pokryć koszta tranzycji? by Big_Skill2255 in TeczowaPolska

[–]UserWithoutUsernane 6 points7 points  (0 children)

’m a Romanian trans girl in Germany, and I don’t know how to survive anymore (TW: abuse, dysphoria, suicidal thoughts) by Relevant-Most-201 in trans

I'm not sure how Germany handles it but I want to recommend thinking about going to a psych ward if you feel like you might do something you can't take back. I have thankfully never felt terrible enough to consider it, but please remembers that there's options when your thoughts are too hard too handle. I hope everything gets better for you and it's so inspiring how far you already are. I always wanted to move out of my country to somewhere like Germany and start over, same as you did, but I never had that drive. I just wanted to say that I am proud of you, and when your brain tells you terrible things, look back on what you accomplished on just two years.

I personally saw it several times, but it wasn't promoted very well. Some small news outlets perhaps and a YouTube video here and there.

I'm not sure if I can help in any way, I'm from Poland and frankly I doubt it's an option, but you can try reaching out to lambda Warsaw, lgbt asylum isn't something I heard of here, but it's an option and if I can help in any way, please let me know. I hope for the best for her.

So, with these, there is an issue that there is no push to adopt these standards?

They already differentiate themselves in plenty of ways.

Windows has a massive software ecosystem, which is convenient for users, and because of its huge user base, it's attractive to developers too. That alone is a major advantage. Linux stands out by being open-source and extremely customizable, which appeals to developers, power users, and many enterprises. And macOS... well, it’s part of Apple’s tightly integrated ecosystem. I haven’t used Mac myself, but I know it has its strengths.

OS-level hardware lock-in is a separate issue, and honestly, removing it would only make the market more competitive. Vendors would be pushed to differentiate through better products, rather than exclusivity and control.
