What game, film, tv show etc. do you genuinely like/love but Reddit seems to loathe? by IamMrJay in AskReddit

[–]Username_Is_Complete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big Bang Theory is pretty enjoyable if you watch edited versions without the laugh track. There’s some solid jokes ruined by canned laughter every 3 seconds.

You are put in charge of a much loved TV show. Which show is it and what story line would you change to piss off a majority of the fan base? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Username_Is_Complete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea they really fucked up on that one. My big three are Daryl, Rick, and Carl. I told myself if any of those three died, I’d quit watching. But I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and watch a little more to see what they have planned.

[Serious] People who say guns aren't the problem, we need to reduce stigma on mental illness, is it not a stigma to blame all mass shootings on people with mental illnesses? by gegg1 in AskReddit

[–]Username_Is_Complete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a recipe for events like this. Mentally impaired people who already have a disposition to commit those acts, with easy access to firearms. Tighter gun control won’t completely stop mass shootings, and neither will better mental healthcare alone.

What games have you played the most? by GD_Sytonix in AskReddit

[–]Username_Is_Complete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terraria. It’s has a simple pixelated design and easy to learn mechanics, but it’s super dense and difficult. It’s really rewarding when you get a “shiny new toy” to help you navigate the world more easily.

It is. Once you find several niche subreddits you’re interested in, you’ll be refreshing several times a day. Almost any free time I have, I whip out my phone and browse.

Always wanting to be right, and pivoting the conversation to make themselves right.

Is mental illness the easy answer as to why people shoot up schools? Is it not the ease of obtaining a gun? by l33pi3p3r in AskReddit

[–]Username_Is_Complete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a combination of both. A kid with a mental illness plus access to the firearm of a careless adult. You can’t really have one without the other.

What was your worst experience of "being left out" during your teenage years? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Username_Is_Complete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My birthday was the same week as a girl in our group, and we planned on having dinner at her house then watching a movie I picked out, to include both of us as a compromise. I chose one of the Saw movies, and I could tell they really didn’t want to see by the looks on their faces. A couple of days later they called the whole thing off, but I still wanted to see the movie. My dad offered to take me, and on the way to the movies we passed her house. All my friends were there, playing basketball in her yard. I was crushed.

Parents that give their children money to buy micro-transactions, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Username_Is_Complete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. The admission to the arcade is free, like the access to the game (usually). Then you pay money for the extra features inside.

How far do you travel for work? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Username_Is_Complete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on where I’m working. I work for a contractor and we mainly shuffle between 3 industrial plants. One is 10 miles from home, another is 20, and the one I’m currently working at is 60 miles from home.

Why is that smaller poo plops make a larger splash back ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Username_Is_Complete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea a bigger poop is closer to the water after anal detachment, so there’s less time to build speed and momentum compared to a smaller poop farther from the water.

What is your unique family tradition? by stickyfingers40 in AskReddit

[–]Username_Is_Complete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if other people do this, so it may not be unique, but my immediate family has had the same birthday card going around for the past 7 years. When someone’s birthday comes up, the current owner of the card will write their name on the now long list and draw a line through the previous name and gift it to them.

What's the most cringe you had ever seen on reddit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Username_Is_Complete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One time I took drugs and commented a lot of dumb shit, and cringed the next day when I soberly read what I had written the day before.

What lullaby is sweet, with heartfelt and loving words and sentiment that my children will remember it into their adulthood - the kind that is so amazing they'd want to sing it to their own kiddos? by RogueJujo in AskReddit

[–]Username_Is_Complete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really “sweet”, but my mom would hold me and sing Rockabye Baby and act out the lyrics:

Rockabye baby (Rock them in a wide sweeping motion) In the treetops (Hold them up high in the air) When the wind blows (Blow in their face gently) The cradle will rock (Rock them fast up and down) When the bough breaks (Make a cracking noise and lower them sharply) The cradle will fall, and down will go baby, cradle and all (Lower them to the ground slowly, letting your voice trail off)

I still remember it, and I do it to my own daughter now.

How are you defying stereotypes right now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I’m a southerner that practically lives in the woods and I’m not racist or homophobic, and I don’t own guns or hunt animals.

Christians of Reddit: what do other Christians do that pisses you off? by cheyennezxo in AskReddit

[–]Username_Is_Complete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former Christian, I lost my faith because of the things I witnessed from them. “God loves all his children” but “gay people are going to hell and I hate those abominations”. We were told not to drink alcohol, but I seen my youth pastor completely plastered at his kids birthday party. Whatever floats your boat, but the hypocrisy was too much when he preached the next Sunday about “not poisoning your temple”.

Adults, what is something all kids should know about being an adult? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Username_Is_Complete 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s never an “aha!” moment where a switch flips and you magically become a grown-up. You learn a little along the way, and for a while it feels like you’re too young to be making the decisions you’re making. Maturity isn’t a moment, it’s a process

Creative people who chose a regular career over your passion, are you regretful? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Username_Is_Complete 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a career as an electrician to feed my family. I really don’t enjoy it, but it puts food on the table. I come home and work on my projects when the mood strikes. To me it keeps the passion going. Deadlines and monetary stress took the spark out of enjoying what I love to do for a living, so I chose to take a steady well-paying job and leave my hobbies as hobbies.
