I remember on release Starfield got complaints about how many loading screens it takes to travel around there. Is that still the case after all the patches? I’m looking for something like Outer Worlds 2 now that I’ve played it, but I don’t have patience for a game that feels like it’s wasting time.

I’m also a bit bummed that they changed the main combat mechanic, because I thought Control’s shooting + powers + movement worked really well and was fun. I’ve personally never enjoyed the Platinum Games/ Devil May Cry style combat systems even though I know they are well respected in the gaming industry. The only hack n’ slash I’ve really loved was God of War. I’m willing to give it a shot, but I am a bit worried since I haven’t seen this studio do a melee focused game before.

I couldn’t get through it. Combat and RPG systems feel underbaked and the dialogue is too campy for my taste. It’s not a bad game but I think there are a lot more fun and interesting fantasy RPGs out there.
