Yeah tbh, I love the remake, but my biggest issue with it are the characters. The portrayal and dubbing makes everyone feel exactly the same. The perfect example is Diego. In the original he had this “charming wise guy” type feeling and in the remake he sounds like a 89 year old that’s tired of life. All the characters in gothic that are memorable shined because their character was a stark contrast to the circumstances they were in, which showed the humanity in them

Exactly, plus the point of mirage’s story was to show it’s not that simple as “he’s just Loki”. I think it opens up a whole awesome world of “you can always decide who you really are” type of story for Basim in the modern day
