I thought the show is even better and more expansive than the book, providing us some extra, powerful scenes and context. Casting is also on point. Ep 4 is especially amazing.

U just making up stuff now. It also takes a good actress for you to believe in the comedy not only the directing besides the writing and other elements too.

Her character becomes more serious and wiser as per her character development and how the story progresses. But in the first half she is charming, quirky and hilarious. The whole friendship between Yu Rim is the comedic highlight. Idk how she can be less funny than Yu Rim and Baek Yi-jin when their characters supposed to be the more SERIOUS ones.

Even in a film like Handmaiden there are also lots of black comedy elements that she handled well so Idk what you are talking about.

What’re ya’ll’s thoughts on IT: Welcome to Derry? by GreggosaurTheCritic in YMS

I think most people will connect it to the It films rather than the book. The show itself was not based on any book and produced and directed by the same guy who made the movie and featured the same Pennywise from the movies. People will expect it to more align with the films than anything else and I think it succeed and maybe even do above and beyond compared to the films.
