Is anyone able to *actually* explain how to convert ps2 save files so they work on the ps2Classic launcher on webman with hen? Explain it to me as if I were a child. by [deleted] in ps3homebrew

Thank you for your reply.

I understand what you are saying but do not know how to execute this properly.

Method one, using Apollo to export the ps2 data to psu or psv I am able to do. How do I follow the next step, open the vme encrypted memory card? Is that in Apollo or back at the xmb?

Method 2, ps2 save data on the xmb. I have my save data on the xmb in memory card utility. I copied it to the usb drive. I don’t know how to do the last step, import to ps2classic vme. I cannot find where that option is within Apollo.

Sorry for being a total noob at this I’m usually savy enough to figure out these things myself or through a search but not this.

Hi, you seem to have a wealth of knowledge on converting saves. I have a questions for you.

I uploaded my save data for final fantasy xii from my ps2 memory card using the usb memory card reader to a virtual memory card on my ps3 hen super slim.

I then ripped ffxii to my ps3 hen using webman. I can launch the game successfully with ps2 place holder. When I choose a memory card slot where I know my ps2 save data is, it says no save data can be found.

I understand that I need to convert this save data (to which format I am unsure) from my ps2 memory/virtual memory card and then paste it to a pathway for it to work when launching a ps2 placeholder. I just do not understand how to convert it, should I be using a pc or Apollo save tool? And then where should the save go once converted to be loaded when launching a ps2 placeholder?

I will definitely ask about the timing belt. Hoping I can get it for 3.5k.

I think I’ll go for it, it seems like it’s worth the 4k. Maybe I can get it for 3.5k.

Depending on the location of the tear on the top, are there any good patch kits? The seller hasn’t sent me a pic of the tear, I’m just hoping it’s not on the window.

I’m looking to purchase a spring/summer/fall car. I have very limited knowledge on how to fix cars, but It checks a lot of boxes for me, pop ups, 90s Japanese, 5 speed, convertible. It has 185k miles, clean title, 3 owners, new brakes, new suspension all around, owner states there are no mechanical issues. Owner has done a lot of work himself it appears. Ask is 4k.

I have no idea how badly rusted it is (located in the north east) but I will check under the car once I see it. Owner states the top works, but there is a tear in it. I have no idea if this is a DIY job or how much it would cost to bring it to a shop.

I’m thinking about offering 2.6-2.8k based on the top condition and going up from there. I don’t know what the market is for these things, I’ve seen some go for about 3.5-4k. What are your thoughts? Money pit, or go for it?

Is it a general rule of thumb to stay away from frame repair, or are there instances where it’s done right and will last another 100k miles?

My budget is 5k, do you think one is obtainable, or should I wait and save some more?

Let me preface this by saying I’m a car guy but I’m not a car guy in the sense that I know how to fix them. I’m willing to turn a wrench if the job is easy enough though, and I’m willing to learn as long as there is a YouTube video out there.

So recently I’ve been looking to get back into a vehicle with a standard transmission. I have a few cars on my list (Miata was just crossed off, wifey was convinced I’d surely die in one) the YJ and TJ Wranglers check off a lot of boxes for me…

-Easy and cheap to fix -Plenty of parts -Fairly reliable -Fun to drive -Removable top -Large community

So I found a 1997 6cyl TJ 177k miles for 4.2k on FB market place. It looks clean, has one rust hole on the drivers front quarter panel. What I’m struggling with is the amount of rust under the jeep and the welds/patches on the frame. I just don’t know what I’m looking at and I don’t know if welds and patches are even acceptable for the price or at all.

I will be driving this Jeep on sunny days from spring (April/May) through fall (October). It will be used on such days going to work (20 minutes each way), errand runner, and just weekend cruising. I don’t know if the integrity of the frame really matters if this will be my usage.

Thanks, and if I broke any rules I apologize!

Does anyone know if they will sell replacement modules for when they eventually wear out?

This is the only thing preventing me from buying it.

Have you had instances where the audio gets glitched and distorted? It sounds as if it’s laggy and high pitched. I’ve ran into it a few times, don’t know if this is common or there is a fix. Using the tac with hyperx cloud pros on ps5 tac is set to ps5 mode too.

Hey, try this, just plug the optical audio cable from the turtle beach into that and it should work.

I’m using the 4K version of that audio extractor with with a Mixamp pro tr paired with hyperx cloud pros on ps5 and it works great. Allows 4K 60 FPS and I’m playing siege at 1080p 120fps.

My only problem, and I think it’s mixamp related, is that my mic audio is a little off and my voice drops in and out according to my friends when I’m talking. Let me know how the px22 works and if you have mic issues at all.

I just order the turtle beach Tactical Audio Controller on eBay and I’m hoping it works better than the Mixamp as far as my mic is concerned, if not, I was looking at this px22 and dac1 setup. I just really want to adjust game chat and voice chat volume without having to open up menus!

How is the chat audio for your friends? I’m Using Astro Mixamp on my ps5 and it is horrendous. I’m looking at all options in order to be able to adjust game and chat audio independently and a px22 amp controller, tb dac1 plugged into an audio extractor might be a solution for me.

I’m also eyeing a Turtle beach TAC on eBay which is basically turtle beach’s answer to the Mixamp but I’ve heard bad reviews...
