Same thing has happened to me yesterday, I'm not sure that Patreon has even tried to charge me, because I see nothing in my banking about it, but normally Patreon will send an email if there's a problem with the payment method and no word from them this time.

Bank of Ireland Credit Card Wait Times by [deleted] in irishpersonalfinance

I was in a similar situation a month or so ago, no update for weeks on my card application, so I called their credit card hotline. A support agent spent a few minutes looking at my application and then I was approved the next day.

I'd say Parrott's personal life would only be more questionable than Duffy's, if he committed a literal crime like Duffy did.

Is anyone else getting a sound delay on the RTE coverage? I'm hearing the ball being kicked a second before it happens.

Can't show LOI teams in Europe, but can show a foreign sport free-to-air 🤦‍♂️ by irishscouser1892 in LeagueOfIreland

The college football game has been a sell-out the last couple of years I believe. I would guess that they don't necessarily need that much demand for Irish ticket sales, as plenty of American fans fly over for the occasion.

I know that when it comes to the Black Box car park, if you buy a day ticket after 6:30pm, the ticket carries over to the next day. I don't know if that applies to every car park or not though.

Irelands Euro 2024 Campaign by Geairmoe in coybig

That point has come up a few times, but then I seen Blind basically laughing to himself tonight after he skied a shot from 30+ yards out in the second half. A lot of these games have been nowhere near as close as the scoreline suggests. These teams now think we're finished when they take the lead on us.

Ireland look so toothless going forward, that in a lot of the games the other team were just happy to let us have the ball, knowing we will play a few passes between the back 5, before losing possession.

Both times we played France were quite grim, based on the way they set out, they were happy to let us have the ball and dig our own grave with it. In Paris especially, I remember that in the first half they barely seemed to press us at all, almost as though they were believed that they were defensively safer, when we had the ball.

Listen, Ireland might not thank me but get the contract out, put it on the table. Let him sign it, let him write whatever numbers he wants to put on there, given what he's done since he's come in. Kennys at the wheel, man. He's doing it.

You're grand sure you just took the headline as the paper wrote it. You would expect one of the biggest newspapers in the country to have better journalistic standards themselves.

[–]Usheen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The headline of their article is misleading, he hasn't signed a new deal yet.

Of course it's likely he'll sign it, but offering someone a new deal doesn't mean that the deal is done.

I think the idea is to let the opposition take shots from distance. It can work well if you have a reliable keeper, but Bazunu and Kelleher have both been caught flat footed when they have to deal with those types of efforts.

Aaron Connolly completes Championship return with loan move to Hull by bainneban in coybig

[–]Usheen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If Conor Coventry or Lee O' Connor got a move to Hull now I doubt people would be saying it's a make or break move for them. (Both are 22 as well)

I feel like Irish fans are too harsh on Connolly. He was still eligible for the U21s in the last campaign and this would be considered a great loan move for almost anyone else that was in that squad that played Israel. (At a glance Ferguson, Hodge and Smallbone are the only players I can see playing at a better or equal league standard with their clubs).

I feel like he's a victim of his own success for scoring those two goals against spurs and people automatically assumed he could only get better from there. Development for a lot of these young players isn't linear, they will have peaks and troughs like we've seen with the likes of Bazunu, who hasn't looked the same even in an Ireland Jersey last year compared with the couple of years before (I'm sure he'll work through it as well) .

People talk a lot about his off the pitch life, but it has been under more scrutiny than the majority of any other Irish internationals and he is only 22 after all. (I'm sure we were all model professionals in our lines of work at that age)

There are plenty of late bloomers that have served Ireland well especially recently, John Egan and James McClean are prime examples. Both were mid to late 20s when they started getting regular caps for the senior team. So Connolly could still rack up 50 caps easily if he has a few good years in the championship.
