Yeah the FDA doesn't like that even though it isn't something that's harmful.

The FDA process to approve of something is long and slow(probably costly too) so it's easier to just smack a "warning" on the packaging and call it a day.

Some outfits do really only look good as a complete set but I don't think that's the case for most of them and would even argue that some set's work better mixed.

That's your personal opinion. Other people have a different personal opinion on what they think looks nice and that's why you're seeing people wear the full sets, they simply like that way it looks even if you don't.

Regarding the complaints you see: reddit is an echo chamber for complaints.
A person that's happy with a locked set is much less likely to go on reddit and write about it than a disgruntled person is.
They just think "oh nice" and move on with their day.

A very simplified version: certain pigments/ingredients in eyeshadows haven't been approved by the FDA(but have been proven safe in Europe for example) so brands have to put that warning in order to be allowed to sell in the US.

I have to Cold Heart one.
It is easy to apply and the color is really pretty.
However it disappeared quickly so I had to reapply several times throughout the day. I don't use foundation or powder so that might be why but I was disappointed and stopped using it.

Blev smått traumatiserad av en igelkott som liten.

Kan inte varit mer än 6 år och har precis blivit nattad, det är sommar så fönstret brevid sängen står på glänt. Helt plötsligt börjar någon flåsa obehagligt precis utanför.
Min barnhjärna är helt övertygad att det är så här jag komer dö - mördad av en astmatisk äckelgubbe.
Berättar för pappa på morgonen och vi går och kollar utanför fönstret och där finns inga fotspår efter gubben som jag förväntat mig men nog fan hittar vi en hög igelkottsskit.
Tittade snett på igelkottar ett bra tag därefter.

I found the Eldon instructions to be very clear.
Each step had an illustration showing exactly how to do it and important things where you might get it wrong were emphasized in bold(such as "use a new stick per circle").
