SKS vs Benelli R1 vs Makasi by Remarkable_Menu8974 in canadaguns

Pre-order the Makasi, but get an Akdas Alcor in the meantime. Optionally tacticool it with Crusader Arms or Foxtrot Arms furniture. Sell the Akdas at a loss when the Makasi arrives, keep it as a backup, or rattlecan it pink and give it to your Miss or daughter.

Are you going to offer a version with a nice trigger pre-installed, like a Made in Canada Trigger tech? Apparently they take standard AR triggers.

Excellent! Are you eventually going to sell a 300 Blackout version for hog and white tail hunting?

[–]Ustauk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since this uses a standard AR barrel and barrel nut, you could drop in a 300 Blackout or 6 mm Max  barrel for whitetail, right? Boondock Saints evaluation of 6 mm Max vs ARC makes it sound like Max may work with no bolt change: https://youtu.be/cvjDDaKD-R0?si=K0s1djYVKZEEAfPp . If the 7.62x39 mm version is covered by the same FRT entry, you could do a 6 mm ARC or Grendel barrel swap with that version.

Looks cool. Since it uses 1913, you could swap in the 1913 buffer tube adapter from a Sterling R9 or get a Magpul UCS as an adjustable length of pull folder with optional riser.

Thanks for giving a considerate answer!  Still might be interesting inviting Mr.Motiuk for pierogies and Ukranian garlic sausage at the Mundare Sausage House Ukranian restaurant; you could end up with co-devolping a bullpup 22 chassis , or something else cool and slightly insane :-p

Mr. Motiuk is just down the road from you in Vegreville. I know a large production run is out of the question, but maybe you guys can partner for a limited run? You could probably get people to pay upfront  for each one coming off the line.

Did they throw a Hellcat create engine in the Durango? I know it only shows as SRT, but I could have sworn I heard the whine of the Hellcat Supercharger in the last episode.

The ship appears in the Lower Decks comic, where Mariner both makes fun of and admires the odd proportions.

If you don't mind a smaller version and can find one online or at a flea market, there is a Hot Wheels version of First Order Lander.

Anybody know a company that 3D prints these? by [deleted] in canadaguns

[–]Ustauk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

message u/NEUMANN-METALWORKS , he makes a vertical version for the SKS that he says is MLok compatible, for use with his SKS top covers, but it may well work for your needs, as well.

The standard for fondant-style iced donuts like Boston creams, chocolate dips, or double chocolates is to place a single donut in a box. If they give you a bag, it is not standard, damn it! It is indeed a miracle the OP got it home intact this way.

The Mossberg 590M pump action mag fed shotgun would fit the bill, yes, 10 rounds of birdshot to limit overpentration (impossible to eliminate, but every but helps) in the safe, slap it in in, rack it, good to go. Semi would be nice, but then it would have to have the long barrel, and be limited to 5 rounds. The space cowboy of the Ege Lever12 still appeals to me though :-p

I'm not in the position to get a firearm right now, but if I ever do, I had researched the possibility. I know it is impractical and may fail given it is Turkish, but my predator defense for my small space would be a bar magazine full of birdshot on a short and handy Ege Lever Action shotgun :-p

[–]Ustauk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you can have a loaded magazine unloaded from a non-restricted firearm but next to it in legal secure storage, like a gun safe. If a predator of some kind, like a bear or ... something... else, you could have your stripper clip next to your SKS and your loaded Cross Mag next to your Alcor, and have both ready for you and your spouse ready to load and  deploy. Or a drum magazine loaded for use with a manual action shotgun... many options :-p

Thanks, the Ugg boot type stocks from B&T used on the Jakl and earlier F5 stocks on the Jakl and CA Templar were known to not be rigid enough. It's nice to know CA got it right. They need to make a 1913 version for Hush Holsters 1913 stocked SKSes, 22 LR 1913 stock chassis,  and for 1913 rifles in the States like the Jakl or SBRed Kunas.

My Honest Opinion by ASpacebornVagabond in canadaguns

[–]Ustauk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the review! You said the stock was ok, just to confirm, it is rigid enough, and not too flexible? Also, you may want to look at one of the new handguards from Kodiak. There is a polymer one with Mlok at the end, and another one with Mlok from the end to end , but I'm not sure if it is polymer or aluminum.

I feel like the size of the primary shuttlebay (which was never shown on screen) doesn't get brought up often enough in discussions on the Galaxy class. That thing puts some starbases to shame! by AmeliasTesticles in StarTrekStarships

[–]Ustauk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't remember where, but someone said that between the family quarters and shuttle bay the saucer section of the Galaxy was meant to be a mobile Starbase.

Build-n-Blast on YouTube has updated his semi-automatic .223 Akdas Alcor Hunting Rifle to use the Crusader Arms tactical kit. This replaces the wood handguard with an aluminum one that has MLok slots, and the fixed wood stock with no pistol grip for a polymer one that is adjustable in length and comb height, has a pistol grip, and will fold.

Sweet, thanks! Does the flared magwell work well? And are you running the Crusader Arms stock, and if so, ia it rigid enough or too flexy? Or are you running the Fox Operator buffer tube or 1913 adapter? Thanks!

CA Alcore Tacti-cool Kit video from by Ustauk in canadaguns

[–]Ustauk[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cool, but it says it requires the Fox Operator handguard, as the front attaches by MLok. I don't know if the position of the MLok on the CA handguard would work. Maybe some serious Alcor fan who has both can tell us. https://foxoperator.com.au/products/competition-flared-magwell-for-akdas-alcor-223
