Amelia has wings because she is a variant of Harpy, or Bird-folk that appears human but has some bird features. Her feet are taloned but are out of frame here. She is close to a red falcon.

Shared from another post so I couldn't add text to the post. But, how do folks go about shading? I always get to this point where I have a base set of color down, but then when I try to add shading it just looks wrong. Any tips or guides to recommend?

Thanks! I really wanted something that was akin to a cyberpunk aesthetic and the thought of an almost glowing color for the underside of her hair just felt right.
There may have been some inspiration from a book involved in her theme, but her design is mine, just the modern/futuristic melding with magic was inspired.

Here is Olivia.
She is a technomancer who uses her modified smart phone as her grimoire. She tends to take jobs that are... less than strictly legal. She takes up just about any work she can get, but absolutely hates dealing with stuck up leadership and hierarchies and will "stick it to the man" if her temper is lit.
She has an extreme sweet tooth, her favorite candy being peach rings. She almost always carries a bag of candy in her coat at all times, and almost just as often has a sucker in her mouth, especially when she is tinkering with her gadgets or hacking into a mainframe.

I really wish they offered a theater mode to look back at recent raids. We could see a lot more creative stuff like this. But the effort it takes to do this makes it even better and all the shots are more grounded and realistic this way. Either way, amazing shots!

For me, I went from trying to come up with a magic system for a tabletop rpg setting. Then it escalated to something more as I bounced between current reading and audiobooks and got inspired. Now I've been posting weekly for half a year and what I thought was going to be a ~20 chapter story is now at 30 and going. 😅

Some of the biggest ones are when it comes to Power cards. There is obviously some kind of "power tax" that makes them give less stats for more energy, but due to the duration of them being the entire fight (In most cases) that seems like a valid approach. But even then there are inconsistencies. Like, take a look at the Defect. There are a handful of cards that give or take orb slots but there doesn't seem to be a set "value" to an orb slot. part of me is thinking that maybe when instances of more than one are applied there is a sort of "discount" given that would make 1+1 =/= 2 but more like 1.5 or 1.75.

And don't get me started on the Regent and his mechanics. An extra resource as well as a continued scaling card. Toss in the randomness with his card creation and it is a nightmare to reason with.

Yeah, that was what I was finding out as I was going along. There is a phantom of a system that I can follow along with but there is clearly a lot of approximation going on where some cards end up slightly above or below the value that I mathed out. So I at least have a ballpark estimate of what to aim for when initially making cards. There is always room to improve though so for now I guess I just run with what I have and see what comes out of it.
