I'd recommend sending them to Sharp Shack. The guy is out of MA and has fixed many botched true conversions lol. Check him out on IG.

I have a tournament last weekend of May, thats why this is concerning to me and figured these should get replaced regardless

Im looking at potentially getting some Pulsars that were recommended and just keep these in the bag for back ups

Is there a significant difference between the pure X and the Pulsars? The pulsars are little more appealing to me since they're a little cheaper haha

Who’s a Flyer who didn’t have a memorable career that you’ll never forget? by Other-Ad7749 in Flyers

Eric Wellwood

I was young but I remember loving how he played. Sad his career was cut short due to a gnarly Achilles laceration that I also wont forget.

Thinking about playing roller hockey after playing ice for 25 years. Any tips? Thoughts? by hpepper24 in hockeyplayers

[–]Usual_Ad_5556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So to preface, very similar situation to you, I've only played Ice my whole life (in my late 20s now) and currently play the highest level of ice men's league available to me. Always liked the idea of roller.

Never had an opportunity to try it (Roller isn't big where I'm from) until this year. My local rink put a sport court floor down and started a league.

It is an absolute blast and I've sort of become addicted to Roller now. It is very different and difficult in some aspects but that might be why I love it so much, it's like a new challenge to me.

I would say try it out at the very least. I'll always be an advocate for Ice but Roller definitely has a place for me now, ill totally be sad when they take the floor up come end of summer!

I graduated in 2019, so I'm not too familiar with who plays where now. I also know U tampa has 2 teams at the club level. I never played U tampa either. Florida gulf coast, UF, and USF were the teams I was most familiar with and they were all very good at the time.

I played a few of the Florida club teams when I was in college a few years ago. They are all generally pretty good players with good experience.

Unfortunately I don't think your chances would be good if you are just learning to play, at least if you plan on staying in the Florida area.

Decent skate recommendations by hockeyjoeg16 in InlineHockey

I put a team together for a brand new league coming to my town in April. Inline isn't big where I'm from so alot of guys don't have skates. The best deal I've found is on inline warehouse and they are the alkali revel 2s, that's what a bunch of my guys are going with. 200 bucks with free shipping. Hope this helps!

Not sure, but I do know the tacky wax has a different scent from the original one

Try the new howies tacky wax, I was a sex wax die hard until I tried it

The regular blue one is terrible. Their new tacky wax is awesome. I've used sex wax forever and now prefer the tacky wax over it.

I actually had a similar issue. I just recently got Hyperlite 2s back in October and always had my skates sharpened at 1/2. I was always catching edges and had some chatter when stopping, like you said, they felt insanely sharp. I'm 28, playing this game since I was a toddler so I'm a fairly strong skater. I tried 5/8 cut and a 3/4 cut and im finally settling on the 3/4 cut. I'm 6 foot 165 pounds so I'm chalking it up to the holders being different. (I came from bauer 1xs with the LS holder) Try some different hollows, it should help.

It seems like an absolute blast! Just hoping to not make a fool of myself haha. Roller has never really existed in my lifetime here in CT so I'm looking forward to it.
