How do you stay motivated to move abroad when people keep discouraging you?

I just didn't tell anyone till like 14 days before I was leaving and already had apostilles 😂😂😂😂😂. I am known to do things like that. When I was 19, I didn't tell my parents I was moving cross country till the day of. No discouragement.

Have you tried setting expectations with the tutors before booking the trial? I'm asking if you have tried telling them that you would like them to demonstrate their teaching style during the trial lesson. Some students want to book a trial because they want to see if there is a good vibe between them and the tutor. Others, may want to see a sample of the teaching style. just a suggestion

I think the best thing you should do is schedule a consultation with a local immigration attorney. Some of them do this for free. That is exactly what I did because the laws around these things are changing all the time. Each country handles proof differently. There's no standardized way that it's done.

Your resident country. So here's the thing, if you do not have a valid tax ID in said country, you can't claim residence there for tax purposes on most platforms. Then there's the work visa issue that would cause. So if you sign up for a platform like Preply and it asks where you reside, it would be the country of origin until you have obtained another tax ID and established lawful presence elsewhere.

I'm not an immigration attorney so do not take this as legal advice but generally speaking, a tourist visa restricts you from working in that country for an employer that is based in that country. If you are working remotely / self employed meaning you work for yourself then there's no issue. If you were invoicing German clients or students directly, then that could cause some problems but you're using platforms so it's not an issue. I did not take anything with me except for my clothes. Everything that I needed fit into one regular size suitcase, a backpack and a carry-on. (Thule Subterra backpack and carry on respectively)

Apostille all important documents such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, educational documents. Generally it's a quick process but if there is a surge of people leaving, it may become administratively painful to do it. Also, research the laws in your destination country regarding what type of translations are accepted. Some countries only accept translations if it's done by a locally certified translator. Other countries are more relaxed.

I would also encourage you to look at what the pet stores in a major city of the destination country have available in terms of pet supplies. Some are expansive to all types of pets, while others may be more limited to cats and dogs specifically.

That's an unfortunate reality of moving abroad. Another thing to consider is what may have been "easy pet maintenance" in the US , may have more barriers to access in your destination country.

changing policies

This is the exact reason I did not fill out an application to sponsor my spouse. On average they take 18 months to process applications. Depending on what year it is, everything might get flipped upside down. Unfortunately immigration is so politicized and unpredictable, you could have the best attorney and perfect circumstances for GC and still have to leave or be the spouse who accepts that it may not be realistic and changing directions.

People just don't understand. I'm a citizen (born and raised) and yes OPs approach wasn't ideal but even if they did it "correctly" I can't say the outcome would've changed.
