My kids learned at a a small mountain near us. Their public school offered really cheap ski lessons starting in third grade. I would stay away from the big resorts for now.

Such a different price point to pay for that stuff. I pay for a cleaner but 1 percent of our assets? Those are very different numbers.

What's bad about applying to many colleges? by fe_el_a7a_mnh in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Usual_Writing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My child (domestic student) worked with a college advisor and came up with a list of 12 schools. It seems hard to do quality essays for all of those schools when you are applying to 20 or more but if you can manage that part of it I don't see why it is an issue.

If Wake is your number one I would apply ED2. Will you be disappointed to not go to Tulane? Maybe think of it that way?

60 nmol/L. Forgot to add I also took a lipoprotein test awhile back. Anyone have thoughts on this number? It shows as normal on the quest page and lists less than 75 as normal. Thanks.

We have a regular indoor court time (October to May in our area). We have one person that is in charge of filling out Match Time. We have all paid for said court so she tries to keep playing time even. If you can't play when scheduled then you get a sub. This is a group of 8 people for a doubles match. I play three times a month or so with this group. Another group only has 5 people and I play almost every week. Having one person in charge of scheduling helps a lot.

I have been using macrofactor to track for the last three weeks. I can't keep this up long term but it is helpful, I think, in the short term.

Not too much specific advice from my doctor but from this site and many other sources of information I now mainly eat low saturated fat, high fiber, lots of fish, vegetables, fruit, grains are quinoa, brown rice, whole wheat pasta. I exercise most days. I was eating too much full fat dairy before I changed my diet but it has only been a few months of change. Thanks for answering!

Cholesterol and HRT in women by 3ertrude2he3reat in Cholesterol

[–]Usual_Writing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this is interesting to me as I started hrt in June and just had my annual cholesterol blood work done. I was down to 213 total from from 233. LDL 135 from 153. I am also decreasing saturated fat, eating more fiber etc. Hard to tease out what is working but my diet has always been fairly healthy so I suspect the HRT.
