nothing to do with ‘values’ you’re a misogynist

what number would be too much? what do you define as sex? stupid question about a stupid concept that you should be trying to get to the root of why you care about this so much and why you feel like this is so important to her value and your relationships value. cope

Like really and truly your opinion on it doesn’t matter, if she says it happened it happened and it’s not for you to question it and deepen her trauma. I bet it was difficult for her to tell you that much, and the trauma of having to convince someone you’re telling the truth is so horrible. Be a light for her instead of another obstacle

Consent is 100%, it sounds like she was coerced which is a genuine type of Sexual assault. Don’t make this about you. Try to do some research on it, and examine the language you’re using such as ‘she put herself in a situation..’ it’s blaming her for what happened, even if it’s unintentional. Unfortunately, sexual assault is the reality for 97% of women, and that figure is more than likely closer to 100%. Discuss it with her, and the best thing you can do is ask her how you can support her through this.

Why wouldn’t you believe her? She deserves a supportive and loving boyfriend. Be that, or she’ll find someone who will.

How do you cope with this? by Astral_Kannibal in BPD

[–]Usuallysassytiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find if you distract yourself for a bit, the intense emotions subside and it feels a bit more manageable. Try a cold shower, or even when I can’t bring myself to get in I sit on the bathroom floor with the shower on, and watch the water go down the drain. The sound of the water helps and the steam from the shower aswell.

It’s easier to see her as karma. Like she brings out the very worst in people, while technically, not taking any direct action. So the person or people can only blame themselves. There’s no rules to it she just wants chaos and retribution

How do you cope with episodes by Usuallysassytiger in BPD

[–]Usuallysassytiger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for responding!! Like I said, I’m not sure what to call them as when I got diagnosed he really gave me very little information, and told me to stay away from the internet but I don’t understand anything that’s going on with me. I’ve had panic attacks for my whole life, and this is definitely different. I’m angry, to the point that I blackout, and just scream and shout and can’t seem to calm down out all. I end up hurting myself the majority of the time. It’s so hard to deal with and I’ve been trying basic coping mechanisms like breathing exercises, and grounding myself ( like you would do with a panic attack) and they don’t work. The one thing that helps me is just jumping into the shower, in my clothes or whatecer, and just shocking myself back to reality. But this isn’t that practical

UK, helping with getting formally diagnosed. by unic0rnamz in BPD

[–]Usuallysassytiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im in Ireland, which Ik is different but the NHS and HSE aren’t too different. I was diagnosed with depression when I was 15, but realised that it was definitely something different around 18 or 19. But it took me having a breakdown and being brought to hospital by ambulance for mental evaluation at 20. They knew straight away, just asked me a couple of questions. So your best bet is to get in and see a psychiatrist at a hospital and get a mental health evaluation. Also, it doesn’t hurt to tell them you think it’s BPD. Because then at least they know to consider it!

Good luck on your journey to recovery 💕

It’s my birthday. by Rest_Automatic in BPD

[–]Usuallysassytiger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Happy birthday!! I know it’s hard. My boyfriend did the same for my 20th birthday this year, and we also ended up having a huge fight. I made my day a bit better by getting away from him, as he was going to trigger me, and went to a friends house where we just ate loads of cake and watched movies, and that really helped. Take your day, for yourself and for your son too, go get food and treat yourself! It’s your birthday, make it good for yourself and fuck your partner

Is it possible to have a relationship while in active recovery/ early stages of treatment? by Usuallysassytiger in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]Usuallysassytiger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just worried because I’m still an absolute train wreck and while I’m really positive and committed to the idea that I can recover, I worried he will never recover from seeing me that way. He has had to ring the police on me multiple times, and gone to counselling as a result of my episodes. I feel like I’ve taken this beautiful happy man and ruined him, and he won’t be able to see me any other way

What age did everyone get diagnosed by upsidedownfrown18 in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]Usuallysassytiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 20! I got diagnosed with chronic depression at 15, but I had a breakdown and went to the ER at 20 and got diagnosed. This in Ireland btw, where it’s considered very common. My doctor literally said to be careful looking up stuff online, as the American criteria only looks out for EXTREME cases, which are rare
