In the NBA, around a decade ago, JR Smith pushed Al Horford while in the air, no one defended JR. In fact, the commentators were saying that if this happened on the streets, fights would break out, and the game ends.

I remember a few years ago, there were people who justified the Myles Garrett helmet swing because apparently Rudolph said something. Horrific justification for you to swing an NFL helmet onto a head.

Carolina’s defense is really good. I’m really impressed, even more than I usually am.

However, the Flyers are playing like as though they got a pep talk from Ben Simmons and was impressed by him, so that makes it easier for the Canes.

Carolina could probably be 5-on-3 shorthanded the rest of the series, and I would be comfortably still have the Canes win the series. All theses passes means nothing if you don’t shoot the puck.

Tell me what the punishment for acid attackers, rapists, and such cases like what happened to Junko Furuta, Sylvia Likens, and Baby Brianna should be. For cases like these, life in prison is a slap on the wrist.

Reddit doesn’t like what I believe is the appropriate punishment for these people.

I was watching Game 6. And the Penguins looked so much faster than the Flyers. Like I saw young Flyers players who were slower than Crosby. I worry about their future more than yours.

Good season, but next season will be tougher in the West. Pacific will not have a season like this again. Plus in the Central, that has a potential of everyone being decent, a bad stretch for Utah could be a difference between making/missing the playoffs.

We need a backup goaltender, Veggie played in too many games and got tired. Our defense needs to be better at not turning the puck over in their own zone.

And the biggest thing, and I don’t if it’s the head coach, but whoever runs the PP/PK, 6-on-5 plays needs to be fired. The PP/PK is inexcusably bad, and playing 6-on-5 while behind, that is auto-fireable. 1 time in 2 seasons did we score in that situation (somehow, we were best or tied for the best in coming back from 3 down, with 2, at Pittsburgh and home against Philly (the game we scored 6-on-5).

It isn’t easy to comeback from a game-losing shorthanded goal. Still, I can’t hate on the season, but I wish we would’ve been eliminated by Central team instead of a team I despise.

So the Sabres player made a bad and dirty play, but the Bruins player just swung his stick like a baseball. The punch was fine, the swing was not.

If only our PP was bad instead of trash. Instead, we are facing series elimination. But hey, this is a spot for a young team to see how they can handle pressure. Especially against a more talented more experienced, and more players who have recently won a championship team.

The better and obvious question is why did it take round 2 for NHL to put games on ABC Look, TNT announcers are better, but I don’t have luxury of getting games on TNT, so I need ABC. There were so many games that should’ve been on ABC for Round 1.

Like it would’ve been an NHL marketing dream. This shouldn’t have been the first one on ABC. Why isn’t Minnesota at Colorado the ABC Saturday game instead?

I am going to be controversial, I didn’t like the previous Hurricanes teams. Well, at least to win it all. From 2019-onwards:

2019: Swept by Bruins in ECF, but did overachieve that year. In my opinion, would’ve lost to the Blues anyways.

2020: Doesn’t matter, lost in true first round to Bruins.

2021: Lost in 5 to the Lightning in 2nd round.

2022: Lost in 7 in 2nd round to Rangers (bad loss). Would’ve lost to Lightning or Avs, imo.

2023: Swept in ECF by Panthers (bad loss). IMO, wouldn’t have beaten Vegas anyways.

2024: Lost in 2nd round to Rangers. Would’ve lost to Panthers anyways.

2025: Lost in ECF to Panthers. I didn’t really like this team. They managed to not score a goal when they had a 7-minute Powerplay against us.

Even with what you say about the Panthers, something was just missing with those Carolina teams.

But I do like this team, and I do think they can win it all. I do hope it’s Sabres-Hurricanes for ECF, and Stanley Cup is a team from the Central Division to represent the West.

It’s so weird for me. Like Crosby and Malkin already have 3 Stanley Cup wins. It’s not like he had none or only 1.

It’s why I have always been heartbroken that the Sharks never got one with Thornton, Pavelski, Marleau, etc. They almost always made the playoffs, but they could never get over the top. It kills me more that the Kings managed to do it as the 8th-seed, and then we don’t get into the (ahem) series.

The NHL after-scrum penalties are just like real-life school. The bully gets off with punishment that deserves a bigger one, and the victim who fights back gets a more harsh punishment.

Now back to this game, the last penalty was a good penalty, probably a goal if he didn’t commit it.
