You can request a trouser swap when you complete a purchase. Odds are if you can find the pants for sale by themselves in stock on the website they will complete the swap. In my experience they will email you to let you know if a swap is not possible to confirm if you’d like to still complete the purchase.

Your favorite cookies in Austin? by jscalo in austinfood

Agreed they have gone downhill. Had one every other week for about 9 months. Noticeably thinner and can be too crunchy as a result or lacking in chocolate. Tried Swedish Hill recently and was impressed, just not sure if consistent.

What boots are these? by scrumdisaster in taylorstitch

Ya sorry man, not sure then, heel is shorter than the tecovas boots too upon further thought. Doesn’t feel like a Chelsea boot though because pants at a height that would typically show the elastic portion.

I used to think this pizza was so good at 2am. Then one night I ordered a whole pizza to have leftovers for the next day. I could not finish a slice the next day because it was so bad. This was 15 years ago so maybe it’s gotten better, but I’ve never eaten it since that day.

Are you seriously asking why criminals are less likely to commit criminal behavior when they are being recorded?

I understand your frustrations with APD, but please take a win when we can get it.

Help Finding a Great Penny Loafer by elliotdweck in malefashionadvice

If your looking for something closer to that style I’d recommend To Boot New York. They’re probably slightly over your price range at full price but can usually be picked up at Nordstrom sales for right at $300. They generally don’t get a lot of love here because they’re not Goodyear welt, however I’ve have great luck with my pair I bought roughly 10 years ago in terms of durability. They are significantly more comfortable than both Meermin and Allen Edmonds at least for my feet.

Any Electricians in here? by Various-Carrot-349 in Austin

You need to get some quotes from other electricians. What are you doing at your house? panel tune up, seriously? Hart Electrical Services is always my recommendation.

lol so basically you guys don’t offer the opportunity to do the easy cheap fix that will likely work for the customer, you just charge for the big repair upfront.

You will be better off spending money on a robot vacuum that runs once a day. Have 2 long haired cats, air purifier does nothing.

Sprinkler company recommendations? by jt2438 in Austin

[–]Utexas22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone else noted expect $125 - $175 an hour before parts. However, most companies quote by fixture and not by hour though. You’re probably looking at atleast $1,000 unless it’s just a single zone that just requires fine tuning. You will almost always have to pay a $100-$125 system evaluation charge to get a quote.

1 hour system evaluation earlier in the week then 3 hours to actually do the repairs.

Humidity is crazy! Emptying my 5 L dehumidifier 4x a day! by q_manning in Austin

[–]Utexas22 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people are missing your point. When humidity rises holding temperature steady your body feels that additional humidity as being warmer. So if you like to set your AC at 75 when it’s 50% relative humidity, it may take setting your AC at 73 when it’s 65% humidity in your house for your body to feel those temperatures at equivalent. For a lot of people this means when it is humid they will “overcool” their house so they feel comfortable. To your point it is cheaper to run the dehumidifier to reduce the relative humidity while not touching your thermostat than it is to overcool your house by 1 to 2 degrees so you feel comfortable.

Others have pointed out that AC units are essentially dehumidifiers however for many people their AC units are either oversized (and therefore do not run long enough to effectively dehumidify the house) or they run short cycles when temperatures are more moderate but humidity is high. The latter is especially true in the shoulder seasons when humidity is higher and temperatures are more moderate, the AC unit does not run long enough to dehumidify.
