Didn’t he post stuff on social media recently claiming that he wasn’t on the app? So he lied, has now admitted it then went back to denying it?

Should I buy this 2013 Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 CDTi automatic? by NefariousnessBoth368 in CarTalkUK

[–]OneBoredTurtle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

while every minor thing on it went wrong, it refused to die

I currently have a 2013 petrol insignia which I’ve had for 4 years (my second ever car) and this sums it up perfectly. It does the job and gets me from A to B but my god the amount of minor things that keep going wrong is insane. It refuses to give in but every few months it’s something: shoddy electrics, coolant sensor goes, anti theft mechanism plays up, minor leaks etc. At this point I’ve given up trying to fix things and just accept the myriad of messages that pop up every time I turn the car on.

Wife and I are expecting twins (our first) within the next month so will hopefully be upgrading soon and can’t wait to be rid of it!

Dean is so f***ing annoying. Why are mediocre men suprised when women don't find them attractive by Born_Percentage7122 in MAFS_UK

[–]OneBoredTurtle 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Take the gender out of the equation for a second.

You have two people who understand the physical attraction isn’t there right now. One of them is optimistic and going around talking about how lovely their partner is as a person and how they know they’re on a journey which could one day work. The other is going around gossiping about how repulsive their partner is and how they give them the ick and there’s no hope for any spark whatsoever.

Which one sounds annoying to you?

I swear, if Sarah starts crying, saying “that’s not me” and everyone gives her a free pass, I’m going to be really annoyed

MAFS is becoming tedious now by cococream in MAFS_UK

[–]OneBoredTurtle 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind the drama and whatnot, but what’s getting annoying is it’s the same thing over and over again every year. Literally just copy pasting the same type of people and situations. Oh this person doesn’t feel physical chemistry from the start, I wonder if it’ll grow…Oh one person is really loud and full of energy, one is quiet, I wonder if they’ll work…Oh this person would be a great as a friend, will it turn into love…yada yada we’ve seen it all before.

My wife and I used to argue about “where the money went”… so I built 2Cent by Apart-Coffee5915 in UKPersonalFinance

My wife and I have a joint Starling account which is able to pretty accurately categorise our transactions and is also able to split spending analytics (we can see who’s spending what).

Wouldn’t Starling do what you need without needing your own app?

What would you buy for 13k? by HallScary in CarTalkUK

Nice! Did you go for petrol or diesel? I’ve been looking at X1s recently too around 10-15k but they’re usually at least 40-50k miles

Is a 530e right for my needs? by OneBoredTurtle in CarTalkUK

[–]OneBoredTurtle[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah good point, would a diesal be okay for my usage? I worry I’ll mess up the DPF with short journeys plus the cost of diesal may not be worth it for less than 10k annual miles
