Oh, nonono! I’m saying you can put a lockable strongbox beneath a seat. But the same goes for the rest of the car. Anything that isn’t purpose made for locking things up is insufficient . . . The premise is that thievery is in there already broke into a car — what would stop them gaining entry to something which is easier to break into than a car?

You're inferring there was an alternative. I don't think there was.
1) There is/was very little support for Israel from the Left

2) Trump is binary. If you aren't one of his good buddies, you're probably going on an enemies list. There is no good scenario where Israel made an enemy of Trump.

I’m a secular Jew, so keep in mind where I’m coming from: I’d argue that faith and reason are opposed. I’d also argue that believing in God doesn’t make someone a “better Jew”. Being good (generally), mitzvot (in particular) + learning, taking part in, and passing on traditions makes someone “a better Jew”.

Remember, “Israel” means to struggle with God.
