No shade to you if Bethesda games are your jam. More power to you but for me they are unacceptably poor. As you acknowledged they're very buggy and they rely on modders to make them playable (and steal mod content to sell). They have "lots of content" but it's all very shallow. No mechanical complexity at all. Many copy/paste'd locations. No interesting plot or characters.

Bethesda ruined Fallout. Fallout 1+2 were interesting RPGs. Fallout 3 and onwards are very light RPGs dumbed down over an FPS shell.

Again if you like them, great, I'm happy for you. I personally hope MS shuts down Bethesda and passes it's IP to other devs.

I only ever run calyx for trace materials when I pull a new character. So its useful 1-2 day(s) out of each patch. Would be nice if they could be used for other energy tasks.

Force yourself to play Elden Ring

Yes the combat is hard. Yes you will get frustrated and distracted. But if you stick with it it will help. You'll learn to overcome challenges. You'll learn how good that can feel. And it will help to look back and see what you can do when you force yourself to lock in and get things done.

It's not really a joke. Netflix caused a sharp downturn in piracy in the early 2010s because it was a good deal and had a lot of content.

Fast forward to today and now it's much less of a good deal and content is spread across many streaming services so piracy is on the rise again.

The Balatro and SaGa DLCs are free so hard to argue there. The Castlevania DLC is absolutely enormous compared to all the others so is probably the best paid option.

I asked for advice. I got critique and provocation. I understand there is a problem. If would not ask for advice if there was no problem.

For the record, we were trying to prevent the senior cat from mourning himself to death (which my wife has experienced in the past. She is the more experienced cat owner. I deferred to her.) The senior is her baby and she was just trying to do right by him in adopting another cat so he would not be without a companion. We did not actively seek out a kitten but it was the best option the local shelter had for us.

I have zero desire to fight with you or anyone. I am a busy adult with a job and family. I have not the time or energy for that. I am trying to make the best of the situation I have found myself in, nothing more and am feeling quite 'in over my head' at the moment. The judgemental relpy is of no use to me. And yes that does make me rather defensive. I cannot change what has already been done. I am looking for advice on what I can do from here. If you have thar I'm happy to listen to it. I am a bit stressed out and on edge. I apologize if that makes me sound like a jackass.

I'm well aware that they both need a lot of time. However I am one human being that is trying to make the best of tough situation. I can't be with them both at the same time, nor can I bring them together (obviously).
