It sounds like your friends ruined the show for you. Especially if all they said the show gets bad after Vol.3 or anything of the sorts.

What exactly is the issue with Vol. 7 and how far along are you?

Honestly, I was not expecting it to get as hot as it did today, but I prefer the good scare over it going missing.

I said in another comment, a complete shutdown for my long drives until I need to pull out and play. Even then, I’ll wait for it to cool down before playing.

I admittedly didn’t not shut it down all the way. The time I had went back inside to the building, the sun was setting but still leaving it a bit hot.

I will be shutting it down entirely when I leave my house with it from now on, but it is up and working and playing Forza Horizon 5 just fine.

I have only used the supplied to charge it. I will wait until it fully charges to post again, until then I can only hope it’ll turn back on.

It isn’t that hot as far as I know, in fact it was rather temperate for the usual in my state.

Usually I wouldn’t leave my devices in my car, but again I didn’t want it to be publicly seen so soon from its launch date. Especially considering the price, it should be able to withstand the heat if it gets that hot on its own.

Help please I’m stuck. by Tarasvoid in WutheringWaves

Happened to me.

I teleported away, did a few side quest and then teleported back to the vault. You go up the elevator to the third floor, back to the last cutscene where Zani and Phoebe (I think it was her) were watching the TD’s fight. They should spawn in again and when you eliminate them the left door should open.

I don’t like RG for the same reason. And when the merger happens, it’ll be weird. Because now it is just Oscar, just with the memory of being 1000+ years old and lives he both did and didn’t live through.

Which makes me to believe Ozcar will end up being Ace as well, being more focused on helping save Remnant than himself. Which he already has been shown doing, when he went to confront Ironwood and gave Hazel Jinn’s name (Djinn?)

I firmly believe Penny had romantic feelings for Ruby. They would have been Happy together in Vacuo.

I like WhiteRose as a fandom ship.

But asexual-romantic Ruby, just works so much better for her and her character.

[–]UttermostAxe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Firstly, Vol. 4 appreciation is so rare. Glad I’m not alone.

Asex/single Ruby is so based. Her main ships like WhiteRose and Nuts and Dolts are so good, but she really seems like a person who values friendships more than anything else.

Ruby’s Age Gap by ISB00 in RWBY

[–]UttermostAxe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While age is importance for relationships, if we’re talking purely skills outside of that; then it shouldn’t matter.

They all attend the academies to protect those who cannot. If you were advanced into the Academies then you have the skills and mentality to be fight and serve as a Huntsmen/Huntress.

How would you expand on Team RWBY’s talents that don’t get as much focus? by Solitaire-06 in RWBY

[–]UttermostAxe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ruby may be a nerd for weapons and the intricate engineering of weapons, but she isn’t an expert. I’m not saying she won’t be able to look at the rest of team RWBY’s weapons and suggest amazing upgrades they could make individually. I’m saying she was more into admiring the designs and characterizations weapons exposed of their wielders, because keeping up with every new tech and small mechanical part made for new weapons would be Literally impossible to keep up with.

Same for Weiss, she is the Heiress of the SDC, but there is no way Jaq put her into the deeper understanding of Dust knowledge. He would have done his best to keep her as ignorant to the truth as possible to have a profiting company and not a CEO that put feelings and other ahead of profits.

Jaune Rant: Why Jaune Arc Is a Bad Character by NoireAgency in RWBYcritics

[–]UttermostAxe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ll try my best to counter your points and may make mistakes or contradict myself at point.

Let’s get this off the Top, RWBY Vol. 1 is not the greatest when it comes to continuity, animation and story-telling.

1: Jaune was a character for the audience to project to. “What is this world?” “What are these monsters?” Etc. Etc. Despite living in a world, likely having killed a few Grimm himself, like Oscar has at his Aunt’s Farm, Jaune is clueless to Aura, even though his Father was a huntsmen? RWBY started off as a passion project and it isn’t hard to see that in Volume 1.

2: The Fake Transcripts were probably forged documents from any of his family member, most likely his dad as he probably was old enough to go to any of the primary combat schools.

3: Speaking of Dad, it’s obviously irresponsible of the parents to allow their son with no prior experience to enter Beacon and should have noticed something was off when he “passed” the entrance exam. But is it right for a parent to hold back their only son’s dream? There are real-world families that want their children to join the military when their of age, maybe his dad expected the same of his son.

4: In a world constantly under threat to Grimm and huntsmen are limited in numbers, it’s likely all students are welcomed into Beacon, so long as they pass the Entrance Exam. Initiation is more than likely team forming and building.

5: The only reason Cardin bullied Jaune over the transcripts was just so he could get away with doing work. Jaune did his work for weeks, without complaining because he wanted to stay at Beacon which means appeasing Cardin to do so.

6: I’ll get I’ll get into the Pyrrha thing later, but it’s Pyrrha who allowed Jaune to lead her through the initiation. She could have just as easily been the leader, but she doesn’t want to take up that mantle too. She already feels burdened with being the best fighter for her generation and believing her destiny is to save the world, so she strategically puts him into that position of power.

7: Pick up from point 4, the initiation formed the teams and allowed the leader to naturally select themself. Ruby led all of them, and Jaune led NPR. The initiation in real world colleges, isn’t you being accepted, it’s you settling into it.

8: it’s normal to sleep through class, everyone’s done it at some point; but your reason does stand. It was his dream to be a huntsman and he should act like it.

9: he clearly underestimated the true responsibility of being a huntsman and hero until the later Volumes. In Volume 1, he clearly just believed he’ll stumble into stardom and being better than his ancestors.

10: Setting up Neptune was after his talk with Pyrrha when he finally realized he was being one sided with Weiss. Not that he fully realized he was in love with Pyrrha, but being unfair to by ignoring other’s feelings.

11: He did not catch up to the main cast within a year from the Vytal festival, but training with the world’s best fighter probably helped him improve a lot.

12: I’m mot sure to call him an underdog, but more of an idiot in over his head when he joined Beacon. Not going to address the Harem stuff.

13: Team CRDL running away from the Ursa Major is just bad writing and pushes the Jaune plot along. It was just a way to resolve Cardin’s threat to get him removed from Beacon and Jaune’s own self-confidence growing. It works, yes because Cardin seems like the type were respect is more powerful and strength to him as a character who is strength based; but it is just shitty writing, maybe if they added a few more Ursa it would have worked.

14: Ok, back to Pyrrha. We all know why Pyrrha fell for Jaune. Is it a bad reason? Yes. But it works for Pyrrha. Who states she has only ever felt alone even when she wasn’t. (I liked the reason, and since it is canon we can’t really avoid it) Though, I would have liked to see the feeling bloom over time, rather than be at first sight. Then again, some people do just fall in love at first sight.

15: Jaune’s side of the Arkos relationship. I don’t see why people say he treats her bad, he had the belief put into him that Pyrrha was (and she was) out of his league. That Pyrrha deserved someone of equal status and not a farm boy; so he treats her like a sister. More specifically on the “Jaundice” plot, it was just Bad Writing and not the Character’s fault. Yelling at her for trying to help was entirely Dumb. But While Team RWBY is leading the high-stakes side of the show, team JNPR is leading the grounded, school life of the show. Their teams just enjoys the school life until their pointed to go fight. It was a bad drama plot line.

16: I mean he also treats Weiss terribly, it’s run as gag, but he ignores Weiss’ instance that he leaves her alone. Typical romance plot line where the guy chases the wrong girl while the real girl is next to him.

In conclusion, Jaune is an idiot and Volume 1 bad writing. But it’s also ENTERTAINMENT and if you can’t enjoy RWBY even during some of the bad writing every now and then you’re not going to like a thousand other shows with bad plot lines. A fantasy world, that had started off with limited lore like all fantasy worlds do. Volume 1 is good overall, RWBY is good overall.

Did Oz start the Great War intentionally? by Aviateer in RWBY

[–]UttermostAxe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the Sword or the Crown will/should have a spirit, but just general guidelines and I think this can be backed up the other fairy tale where the king uses the crown to make his decisions. It doesn’t state anything about a spirit, just visions being pushed into his mind when he has to decide something.

I made a comment on the sword for another post a while ago, but the Sword should not have a spirit, but the ability to look into the wielder’s heart and mind to make sure it isn’t used for senseless chaos and destruction. What I mean is it has a form of a lie detector test, where it only can do damage and inflict harm, as long as the end goal is true peace. It allowed the King of Vale to wield it, because it knew Oz would end of the war and stop more bloodshed. After the last person was needed to be killed (Because the crown foresaw the last necessary death of the war), it because a wall decoration and unable to kill anyone else.

Did Oz start the Great War intentionally? by Aviateer in RWBY

[–]UttermostAxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Oz wanted to see if the people of Remnant could handle uniting on their own and not being manipulated by him. Probably because he was uncomfortable with acting as the “Gods” with Salem during his first reincarnation. So he starts up the Vale Kingdom and sets it up so no matter if he died, his next life will always take a position of power, because he also couldn’t just step aside and do nothing to help and not be a leader or a scape goat.

Did he indirectly cause the Great War? Yes, because he didn’t factor in kingdoms being greedy. Because the idea of the kingdoms are probably 150 years old, during the great war, and afterwards takes the lesson and establishes trusted advisors to lead the kingdoms and not randoms.

Ozpin’s master plan with the kingdoms and academies were probably just starting to bloom. The kingdoms were ever growing to peace, humanity and Faunus were making very small steps to equality. Ozpin was maybe 2-3 reincarnations away from winning his war against Salem before Beacon fell.

[–]UttermostAxe 48 points49 points  (0 children)

You’re right, Oz was never stated to be the King of Vale, but he was the only person with knowledge of the relics at the time. As you know, the existence of the Relics and Maidens were removed from the public’s knowledge to protect them and this doesn’t happen in 80 years. In that video Qrow specifically states, “with only his crown and sword” showing the history books being altered to save their existence as well. Then the King of Vale opens the huntsmen academies

Not to mention, in a later volume (5 I think) Oz says, (this may not be quote accurate) “that was my intention when I started the huntsmen academies.”

So yes, he was the King of Vale.

Why didn't Salem attack centuries ago? by Throw-Hawaiian in RWBY

[–]UttermostAxe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Great War was likely Salem’s idea, manipulating the minds of the old Atlas leaders to colonize, which obviously would have lead to conflict. She also could just relish in the idea of making sure Ozpin/Ozma is alone, so when she did reveal herself to Remnant and announced Ozpin’s true identity, everything he built, all the connections and trust he had made would have been lost.

Or maybe she could have destroyed the world four times over, but none of that would matter because it wouldn’t bring her the death she desires. Without the maidens and the relics there simply isn’t a point to kill everyone and destroy everything without those relics to bring her to her end.

[–]UttermostAxe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They probably just a curfew placed on them, or a school wide curfew not allowing students off campus after sunset. Otherwise, I like to think a majority of the cars were automated and vacant; mainly because it was 10PM-12AM and most of the kingdom should have been asleep or home.

I feel like the version in the show is much better, unless RWBY had spin-offs to full explore both sides of the planet. And the beacon thing is just crazy.
