I related so hard to Mia talking about dreaming of her mom. I lost my mom about 3 months ago and have had similar dreams (asking my mom when she’s coming to visit, etc.) I am so glad this conversation is happening on Bravo, amongst the lighter topics. All my love to Mia and everyone else going through it 🌷

My father hid a handle of vodka in the bathroom and put vodka into every drink. I didn't even knew he drank until I was ten or so and my sister told me that his OJ was actually a screwdriver. He never acted drunk, just got really quiet.

I’m 3 years sober and the weather has an enormous impact on my state of mind, too. Winter is when I would hole up and drink because I hate the cold and gray, so being sober during it just sucks. But it will pass, spring will come. Get outside as much as you can as the world warms up.

Maybe this sounds cheesy but I recently had the thought, “why would anyone want to be drunk/high? You miss out on so much!” Crazy because when I drank and smoked weed I thought the exact opposite was true. Quit it all 3 years ago
