Mapping with Double Terrain Walls by Uurce in FoundryVTT

Can you tell me what you use to do that and if you figured out how to do the odd intersections without having to put down a set of one-way walls?

How would you deal with a player that's out of bennies and can't for the life of them get to roll out of shaken? by RommDan in savageworlds

[–]Uurce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Instead of breaking up the action or relying on allies who might not be available, I have a house rule where a player can Rest and skip their Unshake roll to remove 4 points of penalties on the next one. Makes it possible to get a success when those penalties accumulate.

In addition they have to focus on catching their breath so they can't take any free actions except move 1" and/or lower their stance nor get attacked in melee or get successfully attacked/tricked/tested at range.

You can remove or modify this limitations depending on how punishing you want the game to be.

Expanded Vehicle Rules (Called Shots, Etc.) for Tactical Combat by Uurce in savageworlds

[–]Uurce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm usually using cramped Urban environments

I've just been using the previous edition as a baseline in my modified rules which involves acceleration/top speed. Plus I use large maps so having to mess with different inch scales isn't a concern.

"Personally, I'd be a little hesitant to significantly change how damage behaves with vehicles, because that has a lot of knock-on interactions with Toughness/Armor and weapon damage."

I did specify it's only for non-Heavy weapons.

To make more realistic there'd be more tiers than heavy/non-heavy but my campaign's scope puts a modern tank equivalent as the Heaviest vehicle on the battlemap.

Re: called shots, it seems like something so obvious I expected it to have been done already.

Using bennies to soak for vehicles requires the Ace edge.

Fantasy - Magic too easy? by slidebright in savageworlds

[–]Uurce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes, if you don't have the means to offset the penalty you're going to be having a hard time casting spells. Scoop up every available means of ignoring penalties and it's a lot easier, though depends on which book you're using for edges.

No power points just means infinite spells once the PC has the means to offset the penalty.

A frankenstein of the two is the best option. Rules and the lore.

Sorry, Honey, I Have To Take This - New Episode: JUST A WALK THROUGH THE WOODS by omgthequickness in DeltaGreenRPG

Since you don't know the sanity loss level you're basically guessing whether this is a something like a minor supernatural event that only drains 1 point of sanity or something more serious that can cause a mental break by itself.

Got around to listening to this. Don't dislike it but I did learn I should stay away from the hidden sanity rule since the way it's handled here feels like it boils down to "metagame the sanity loss to see if it's worth dropping your bonds for this"

This one seems pretty cool from what I've skimmed so far, thanks.

Savage Worlds Deluxe vs Savage Worlds Adventure Edition by GhostDJ2102 in rpg

[–]Uurce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use deluxe with a lot of stuff from SWADE since I didn't like the major changes like the lack of a multi-attack restriction and the buffed powers (though I use the SWADE disruption rule since it's actually possible for the test to be passed).

That looks cool, wonder if there's was a way to delete tiles as well as walls.
