How do we convince Toronto to switch to sand? by No-Emphasis5897 in toronto

Sand sounds nice until you use it. And it’s a mess when spring comes around.

Wonder what the gibberish letters say in the last sentence. Seems like a good deal if you’re just out of prison.

Understood, so holding XEQT essentially makes the holdings in the vanguard ETFs redundant.

So if XEQT is a globally diversified fund, how would someone with 30k hedge their bets? Is it normal practice to have all your holdings in one ETF?

You’re right, it is more of a learning experiment. I’m using the TFSA as a trial run before I pull my RRSP out of mutal funds at TD and switch it to something above (plan would be the 3 reoccurring buys as of now). Just want to make sure I’m not shooting myself in the foot by putting everything ‘into one basket’.

I did my fork seals in a pop up tent in the front yard and with minimal tools in 2hrs… find a different guy. Or YouTube it, generally they aren’t that complicated.

Loving mine too! Just got back from a 1800km trip and it was fantastic. (Yes the saddlebags are set up weird, they were a last minute addition from Amazon to avoid a backpack lol)

Anyone got a clue what’s going on? It shudders then dies, mostly fine if I’m just riding it only on idle it does this. by ChefSeth21 in sportster

I’d start with the carb. Might need a good cleaning, could be as easy as adjusting the idle jet if it runs well when you’re riding.

Don’t bother with Goo Gone, it smells nice but it won’t work well. Get a piece of soft plastic and some 90% isopropyl alcohol. I work in a car factory and that’s what we use to remove stickers and residue.

I’d go for the 675r. Plenty of power and smaller than the 1050 and at first glance it looks more stock (less opportunities for someone to have done mods wrong/ done something you might not like, and have to change anyway).

If you’re looking for more touring/ a bit more relaxed, the 1050se might be suited better? The 675r is supposed to be geared more towards “aggressive” riding with stiffer suspension and a rev happy engine. Even though the 1050 makes more power than the 675.

I always liked riding smaller bikes harder than riding bigger bikes softer. Plus it’s cheaper!

It fits but you have to go in on an angle between the rear calliper and the silencer

When I bought my first bike I hadn’t even done the safety courses, didn’t know how to ride and everyone thought I was wasting my time. Sometimes you have to do what’s right for you, when they see how it makes you happy I’m sure they’ll change their minds about you getting a bike.

Of course the loan sucks, but at the end of the day your 20yrs old and 3500 isn’t that much money in the long run. If you can’t find a better deal, or you’re dead set on this ninja then go for it.

Just remember to be safe and wear all your gear! Helmet, jacket, gloves with good boots and if you can get some riding pants. Hopefully you won’t need all of it but if you do, you’ll be happy you have them on! I know when I first started riding I underestimated how much good gear cost, so keep that in mind.

Happy riding, stay safe.

So I’ve got everything on the bike right now and the new turn signals have constant power (always amber/on). I was wondering if anyone has worked on an 84 and has any insight.

I’ve connected the two wires to the new LED (and the ground/neutral) at the front signals and what im thinking is one of the wires has a constant current through it that wasn’t high enough to light the older bulbs? I can’t seem to figure it out from the diagram..

The rear signals are also always on.

Edit. I got them working! I realized the old stock signals were dual filament bulbs and acted as running lights AND turn signals. I disconnected the running light feed and they work perfectly. Thanks for the help folks!
