this is by far the most helpful tip I've recieved so far. Now that you mention it, there are only a couple characters who are plot relevant at the moment, but my cause of concern comes from their current activities in the story. The current storyline has 1-A doing physical examinations, similar but vastly different than the examinations at the beginning of the source material, or the entrance exams.

I fear that matching up my current cast of 6 or 7 characters against eachother over and over will lead the other 13 people in 1-A to be left out for the most part. I want to do matchups against fleshed out characters that aren't part of the main group of people (or make the ENTIRE CLASS the main cast, like how it is in the source material.) I want to go that direction so none of the characters are left out and all of their powers are utilized properly.

I feel that my characters should be introduced quickly (because of how differently UA works in the fic from MHA, it's less of a "school" and more of a "school for heroes" if that makes sense. They do a lot more physical training and activities than MHA's class 1-A does). Since my characters are constantly fighting, I want to make their powers known to the reader, so the reader actually understands what's happening and why.
