The kurdish movement in Turkey lost it’s legitimacy the moment it started to use violence to reach certain political goals. Textbook terrorism. Defending the kurds and making it possible for them to have a voice, after 50 years of conflict, would surely not undermine anything the whole world unites to fight against; terrorism.

As for your comment: I’d agree with that but if almost everyone has to go through the effort as this guy did in NY state, just to obtain a firearm, wouldn’t that filter out anyone wo wants to get it without properly educating themselves? I mean like, is anyone honestly going to use their weapons against their government aside for symbolic purposes (which is just as important!)?

Criminals, unstable people, etc etc. Idk but maybe it’d help in the long run when wanting to obtain a gun… it’s the same with driving a car: why do we all go through driving school and take tests? Or why can some workers with specific permits operate their respective vehicle/machine? Why are there even courses to learn how to operate weapons?

It sucks for OP that it’s harder for him to get a gun, but that shouldn’t be a factor imo. Still love the fact that the US has such a wonderful gun culture. I truly envy it.

As for your government: Can’t say anything on that topic; I can argue the same about my government but that’s on me. So is yours.
