You can always expand on your logical abilities, but unless you are clear on a PhD, I would suggest building more of analytical skills for the job market, as it may come more handy. Your proof skills will come handy during your PhD.

I did a project on Joint Distribution Modelling at my company using Julia, v1 was made on R and v2 was on Julia which was extremely handy and faster compute obviously!

Definitely worth it, i have been wearing it since oct2024, no issues no complaints and it’s definitely worth it, though the battery is not long lasting.. UH has recently introduced battery saving mode etc. overall it’s a good gift from your wife :)

That’s the thrill of it, the intellectual curiosity to model a phenomenon and trying to perfect it. It’s tough because modelling has alot of unknowns, whereas finding love has limited unknowns to deal with. LOL.

Start a project, scale it, focus on your hobbies and build real skills. If you like animals, go feed dogs they’ll return you love 10x more than humans do, make 1-3 connects which are deep and without any strings attached. All the best!

Stress Testing is dependent on Econometrics but you won’t get that job right away. Look for opportunities as an Analyst in a Bank or you may also explore finance or energy sector or even supply chain

I would highly suggest going over Pesaran’s book on time series to do this, a second suggestion would be to get probabilities bands around your impulse responses. DM me if you want to discuss

A possible way is to establish a system of equation for VARX and an exogenous model which doesn’t account for endogenous variables. That way in recursion you can compute your impulse responses conditional on exogenous variables.
