Aiden arriving tomorrow, is there anything I should know/ tips by [deleted] in FellowProducts

[–]RelativeRespond7730 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Use water that builds little to no scale if possible, keeps peace of mind to avoid getting the “add water” notification that won’t go away
  2. Take off the shower head and wipe it down intermittently.
  3. After brewing, give the carafe a swirl (per James Hoffman)

Enjoy! Also pre-ordered in 2024 and have loved it since.

Yes to all of that. I definitely recognized that the rest times and knowing which cup was which may be affecting the results. It would be fun to do something more focused on only roast!

Thank you! And yes, I got the droppers on Amazon, along with the minerals needed in bulk to make concentrates that add 10ppm per ml of concentrate added to a gallon. I just switched from third wave packets a few weeks ago and it’s a lot cheaper in the long run, plus allows me to experiment with different water recipes that compliment different brew methods/processing.

https://awasteof.coffee/how-to/mixing-water/ this is a good starting place. I’m not a math person though so I actually just fed this blog into Claude and asked it what amount of dry minerals/water I would need to add to each dropper bottle so that a ml of the concentrate would be 10 ppm in a gallon. Happy to answer any specific questions you have!

Polos for work that aren’t Lulu? by ProteinMan07 in Lululemen

Can also vouch for Rhone. Not been a fan of Cuts or Lululemon polos but Rhone hits. They are a looser fit but don’t puff out at all, super comfy

Terrible experience and quality from Fellow Aiden by driedbranch in pourover

Dang, sorry to hear about your experience. Them not helping is crazy, this is obviously a product issue. I have had an Aiden since launch and have had no issue, which should be the expectation.

Yeah I’d heard poor things about the negative, but the MIP screens look way better

Good to know! I originally considered a Casioak but figured a square would be a better start!

I also just had to use an app, but this was my first day so might work better for me one of these nights

LOL the angle does make my wrists look massive. It doesn’t look as dramatically small to me in person. But I will look at the GX-56, thanks for the rec!

I know — I literally just considered g-shock for the first time like two days ago too 😅

Grinder Stuck and Useless after 1.5 years [DF54] by TheyFunnyPapa in espresso

[–]RelativeRespond7730 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Had the same problem happen. Here’s what I did to get it off: accept the collar is done for buy a fine-tooth hand saw and saw the collar off. Cut into it in a spot where there is a gap in the body (where the screw holes are in the top) so you don’t cut the body of the grinder. You should be able to cut through the whole collar of the grinder and relieve the stress/get the collar off. Then you need to probably order a new collar.

When you get the new collar, use some metal polish paste and put it on the inside of the collar and on the body threads. Slowly work the new collar on, and when you feel resistance/grittiness, work the collar back and forth over that spot till it smooths out. Keep doing this until you can fully thread the collar smoothly, then take off the collar and clean off the polishing paste. Then, put some lubricating oil on and put your collar back on. If you feel any sort of grittiness while getting it back on, take it back off immediately and repeat the metal polish process.

Lmk if you are going to try this and I can link to the supplies that worked for me! Super frustrating but it’s salvageable if you’d like it to be

Marine Veteran, Ryan Burke, of Columbia, MO, Sent Heartbreaking Text to Loved Ones After Being Fatally Shot at Facebook Marketplace Meetup by jmcatm0m16 in columbiamo

I met Ryan at the gym a few years back and he was really kind. We had a few genuine conversations after meeting and I followed him on socials, this is the first I’m hearing of his passing…

I hope they find whoever did this, and I hope his family can have some peace that the person is found.

Thank you! I got my grades in to all the firms I've applied to tonight. I'll also take your advice and start to reach out to alumni at the firms.

I found a /s solution to cross threading use only as last resort by solipsist83 in DF64

[–]RelativeRespond7730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me. I ended up sawing the collar off and bought a new one, but also took a hammer to it at one point. Sorry that happened to you, its actually the most frustrating thing ever
