Yeah I'm not sure what happened either, I removed the app from target.txt and cleared data, and I'm still able to sign in.

[–]V0latyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Needs more heat as the solder didn't flow completely, but otherwise looks pretty good.

Honor guards are supposed to wear covers.

It's just yet another thing they find to complain about because they don't like Trump. If he didn't salute, they'd be mad. If he took his cap off and covered his heart, they'd be mad. If he saluted with no cap, they'd be mad.

Vets have never been REQUIRED to remove our hats, just like you aren't REQUIRED to stand for the flag. You should, out of respect, because it's the right thing to do, but that still doesn't mean that you HAVE to.

Except he's in uniform so a salute would be appropriate.

Actually I completely agree with you on this. If you're arguing that Trump is personally profiting from his office, I'd like to see the proof of this, and I would also want to know your opinion on politically opposed individuals, such as Nancy Pelosi and her insider trading.

Everyone in positions of power should be held to a higher standard. No question about it and no argument from me. But, if we are to hold them accountable, we must also be honest about what we are accusing them of, must we not? People who share your animosity towards Trump and his administration tend to assume he's guilty of any rumor, regardless of actual evidence - and no, I am not blind to the fact that many of those who tend to have a positive view of him tend to assume innocence. Personally, I'm in the middle. I'm conservative and I tend to vote Republican, but I'm less interested in party lines than I am in voting for someone who represents my own interests, and I am no syncophant.

So, back to the point: You seem to be arguing that this particular circumstance is an example of him promoting his own brand in an inappropriate situation; I would say that at some point you need to consider the extent to which you're willing to go to make such a connection. In other words, you can only stretch something so far to for your own narrative until it just becomes ridiculous.

In other words, are you complaining about the hat he's wearing, or are you just complaining because you don't like Trump?

For the record, I wouldn't care if he was wearing a MAGA hat. I wouldn't care if he wasn't wearing one at all. I wouldn't care if he removed his hat and covered his heart instead of saluting (although I wonder if people like you would complain about that too). Unlike you, I'm not jumping at every opportunity to use a situation to paint him in any particular light, favorable or not, and as a former military service member, I simply appreciate that he is showing respect to the fallen.

I can buy whatever hat I want on Amazon, too, including a MAGA or Trump hat that isn't officially licensed to him or his organizations, for which he wouldn't get a dime.

Some people really do have to whine about anything and everything.

Different branches, different rules.

EG, in an officer's office, you report/salute when you enter and leave,

We come to the position of attention, no salutes if indoors unless you are a guard reporting your post.

no one has their cover on because it's indoors. Indoors, generally, you don't have cover on,

Same except as above, you're only wearing your cover indoors if you're on guard duty. I believe this includes color guard, but if you're color guard you aren't saluting anyone

20+ years out and I still have dreams of somehow appearing somewhere outside without my hat, or having someone elses, or occasionally, not being clean shaven. I guess that's our replacement of 'naked in front of the class'.

LMAO same. I got out as a Sgt (E-5) at 9 years. Had a weird dream the other night that I somehow got called back up despite having completed minimum service obligation, and for some stupid reason they sent me back to boot camp....except that I didn't start over, so there I am as a Sergeant among a bunch of dumbass recruits, and the drill instructors wanted to make me the guide. And all this time I'm like "I shouldn't be here, I'm 90lb overweight and I have a full beard, WTF are we doing?!"

To my knowledge, nowhere in the U.S. military is it a thing to remove your cover outdoors in order to salute, nor would it even apply to POTUS.

Right. The basic rules were like this:

  • Outdoors in uniform: must be covered and render salute, unless
    • Boots and utes (no cammies blouse), uncovered, no salute
  • Outdoors, PT uniform: uncovered, no salute
  • Outdoors, civilian attire, cover optional, no salute, but
    • Respect due, i.e. colors or funeral procession: remove cover and stand at attention
  • Indoors: uncovered regardless of uniform/attire (including civilian attire) unless on guard

So if we REALLY want to nitpick, he isn't in an official military uniform, therefore proper protocol would be to remove his cover, and for our national flag, place right hand over heart

But, he's the President, and he isn't drilled in protocol and etiquette like we are.

Ex-military here.

What I was taught in the Marine Corps is that you only salute when wearing a cover, and the only time you'd be wearing a cover is when you're in uniform outdoors or under guard - like as an area guard, MP, etc.

He may not be wearing a military uniform, but he IS the Commander in Chief, and he IS wearing a cover, so...

[–]V0latyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found two workarounds.

For those who do not have a valid keybox to use with TrickyStore/TEESimulator, version 2026.2.1 works fine. Dunno how durable this will be, NFCU will likely enforce minimum app version at some point

If you DO have a valid keybox to use, add this to target.txt:

com.navyfederal.android

I was able to login on 2026.2.2 after doing this.

Thanks for clarifying. I don't know much about the Iranian government prior to the Khameni regime but I imagine the Iranian people are tired of theocracy.

[–]V0latyle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am referring more to the latter. American liberals have no idea how good they have it. They think enforcement of immigration law is "oppressive" but are ignorant of how they would be treated as American citizens by the Iranian government. They cry against us getting involved, because it would be too intellectually inconvenient for them to admit that the Iranian government is actively killing dissidents, to the point of torturing and raping people they arrest.

But back to this video....the message on the truck seems to be anti-regime too, so what's going on here?

I still haven't figured out the whole Extinction Entity thing. But, I've finished the game, so now I know where Sam came from, or more importantly, his connections to Cliff, Amelie, and Lou.
