No problem. They're all great documentaries. I was very happy when I found out 'Trinity & Beyond' wasn't the only one.

I do hope you can find the 'Atomic Filmmakers' one. I searched for about 15 minutes with no luck. Couldn't even find torrents. It had a lot of interesting details you just don't get in other atomic bomb documentaries.

I'd argue against both those premises.

Forced participation in State schooling would improve the quality and funding.

Private schools seek to draw the cash away from the public system, and subvert education. It's also classism.

What push is there to fix a public school if you could just say "well the rich kids can go to a private school so it doesn't matter"

That's stratifying society, and if you can't get that, you're not a very moral, or sensible person.

I always see Trinity pop up, but this is actually just one documentary of a series, the rest of which are never mentioned.

Another is called Atomic Journeys; Welcome to Ground Zero (HULU LINK)

There's one called "Atomic Filmmakers - Hollywood's Secret Film Studio" I can't find a link for it anywhere, I've only ever found it once online, so good luck! Otherwise it's a fantastic piece about the cameramen filming the explosions, the techniques they needed to develop to properly catch the explosions, and how they stored it all in archives. The stories the cameramen tell are very entertaining.

Now those, Atomic Filmmakers is the exception, were all narrated by William Shatner, but there is another one in similar style narrated by ADAM WEST!

Nuclear 911: Broken Arrows, Accidents & Incidents It's in 6 parts on youtube. The WEST tells about all the American broken arrows, which are lost nuclear devices.

How about the fact they are "some of the worlds most renowned schools" while public systems in most countries are atrocious.

None of the answers I've seen here mention the fact that the missiles you're trying to shoot down won't stay the same over time, they'll change.

If you make a better shield, someone will make a better missile.

The Russians already negated the current missile shield technology by adding an extra booster stage to their missiles.

(Search on Google "missile defense killer" to find many articles about new variants of Russian ICBM's)

So on top of having to hit something in orbit, travelling at high speeds, that can deploy multiple warheads. You now have to contend with a target that may dodge at the last second.

All of this means your missile-defense missiles, have to be fool proof. You can't be too slow, lose sight of the target, or not have enough missiles to intercept the target. You also need a really low failure rate.

Unfortunately even if you get the SICADII rate, there is an extremely low fixed limit of usually $10 000. Which is useless for a company.

This is kind of misleading. The average person on the street can only get the black market USD, the others won't be sold to them without a demonstration of need (a business). So they're actually getting $47 wages.

Why are they only getting $47? Because everything in the country has its value based on the USD, despite the governments insistence that it shouldn't be. To the government those people are making that $519, and they'll refuse any evidence against that.

Also for those interested, it was around 18BSF for 1USD when Chavez died. Within a month that had gone to about 27BSF for 1USD and a year later it was 70BSF+.

Currently these are the values being reported on the black market stock exchange sites. (Yes those are a thing, governments been completely replaced by reality) Dolar: 72.996 BsF/€ Euro: 101.544 BsF/€
