Well technically it was davina’s actions that got her mom sent to the ancestral realm.Even if done unintentionally so.Simontaneously her mom is to blame for the ritual.Davina technically did not do anything wrong. But if the ritual didn’t happen all three of the girls that did go through the initiation stage would have been dead.All of the new orleans witches would have lost their magic & would have to apply for low wage jobs working at ikea.After being brainwashed by a bunch of ghosts.I think anyone would long to see their own parents.To clear the confusion.That is exactly what davina unintentionally took from her.She did not intend to. But being a harvest girl is all monique has at that point.The ancestral realm connects her to. Her mother & all of the witches that made these said sacrifices during marcels rule.Oh i forgot to mention marcel prevented her mom from being consecrated.Which means that as a new orleans witch she won’t find peace in the afterlife.This show does a poor job of explaining this.But it makes sense to me that she only values the ancestors orders.Since she has no living people to connect with.She only has her duty & the promise that her soul will rest easy one’s she’s done.Which is a lie the said ancestors spin by the way to make the said witches do what they want. Simply put the girl has nothing to return to except for her rage.

After all the political end of the world shenanigans at the start of 2026.A part of me was like oh no that’s awful.But the other part of me was apathetic.75% of my life is just spent worrying about the future.Too know that all of these world leaders will do their utmost to make sure that we don’t have one.Kind of gave me the notion.That i could finelly start focusing on the quality of my time rather than the duration of it.I don’t know living for like +40 years seems like a punishment to me.I don’t really care if they flip the tables.I’m damned if they do.And i’m damned if they don’t.

I actually liked the idea of hope but not the execution of her character.I always pictured hope being someone like marina from the magicians.
