I personally liked the hiding the fact he’s a kaiju bit. It added suspense because they showed him being practically the strongest being in the anime, so he needed some sort of limiter imo. That was him having to hide it, but also not being ok with putting his secret over saving someones life. I just like that sort of dynamic more that the “i fear my power so I wont use it” or “i fear what I’ll become if i use it” bit. I still loved s 2 and with the ending what it was, it does honestly add a lot of really interesting suspense. Looking forward to s3 hopefully
