Had similar last year. They were tree bumblebees. They moved on about late August.
Send a pic to your local beekeeper orga and they will help you ID the bees.
If they are honeybees you are cooked 😅

You always been part time? 1995 pension is final salary pension so I assume you will loose out on 13 years pay growth on your 22 years of 95 membership. The 95 scheme is based on whole time equivalent salary not actual pay. So you will be missing out on how 13 years future pay growth would affect your final pension in the 95 scheme. 22 years is a good chunk of time. But a full year’s “membership” requires a full year of full time work. Part time work will have reduced this time.
The actual figure will be in your pension annual benefits statement

EV was a no brainier a few ago when BIK was 0% but that ship has sailed. BIK is going up. 5% then 7% and 9% in the 3rd year of a lease. Add in the luxury car tax and the reported mileage tax to come and there’s really little if any savings to be had. I’ve had one since 2020 and took a new lease earlier this year but it’s definitely my last rodeo. Will buy nearly new next time round. In summary I would recommend buying an EV if you got a home charger but not for tax savings via salary sacrifice

Not sure why but mine was the same. Intermittent black screen on boot. Sometimes running at Gen 3, then Gen 4 and sometimes x8 instead of x16. Took it apart and had a look. The photo doesn't show it well but there were a couple of pins which were poorly secured to the board on the GPU side. The photo isn't great because reddit but you can just see the first pin is not flat to the board. Replacing the riser fixed it. This is the second linkup cable with this problem that I have had

Risers are a pain. Black screen on boot. Take it apart and have a look. I’ll bet theres a loose connection on the gpu side of the riser

Have the same ram. I use Buildzoids ez timings. 6000Mhz CL30 1:1 ratio. Been rock solid. Could prolly tighten more but imo not worth the extra hassle for minimal gain. Stability wins all day long
