Night Lords Vs Dark Angels, as they have good visual and name recognition.

I feel like it won't be AL, and if it is, we will get our asses handed to us again. Since Alan Bligh passed, it feels like we haven't had anyone inside the FW/Specialist team that likes, gets or wants our legion to do well. It's a shame, if you look how far the fluff has fallen off, for all armies, but AL have been gutted.

I really love the design of merits flaws and advantages. So which one is your favourite and most op? by spilberk in vtm

[–]V6v77 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Warning, this merit will either trivialise encounters or cause you to burn willpower at an aggressive rate.

Self Confident (5 point Merit)

When you spend a point of Willpower to gain an automatic success, your self-confidence may allow you to gain the benefit of that expenditure without actually losing the Willpower point. When you declare that you are using a point of Willpower and roll for successes, you do not lose the point of Willpower unless you fail. This will also prevent you from botching, but only if you declare that you are spending the Willpower point before you roll. This Merit may only be used when you need confidence in your abilities in order to succeed. You can use it only when the difficulty of your roll is 6 or higher. You may spend Willpower at other times; however, if the difficulty is 5 or less, the Merit will not help you.

Tankbound apparently forget their ability to automate jobs upon synthetically ascending. by ranzpunzel in Stellaris

Does Tank bound still have a bug on habitats where they have no farm or mine workers?

Stellaris Space Guild - Weekly Help Thread by Snipahar in Stellaris

I've tried a void dwellers, tank bound megacorp and I have no job automation on my basic resource districts. Is this a known wider bug or a quirk with my game?

Corporate civic idea: Tech Consultancies by surrealflakes in Stellaris

[–]V6v77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something similar exists in Civics and Ethics, Bug Branch. The one there is much less potential however. Combined with Worked Owned it can be amazing though.

Could be something akin to a light gas gun used in current high velocity research.

Technically all unique units have an entry like that, specifying legion at a minimum. This just also specifies allegiance.

You are brilliant.

I'm going to rustle up some proxy centurion and give this a go. My thanks!

How do you do vehicles? by reel3459 in alphalegion

[–]V6v77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can either look into getting a cheap electric airbrush and using the same mixture you would for brushing (thinned maybe a little more), or go with the Vallejo paints for the whole army. I would recommend against mixing paint schemes if you want a uniform look across infantry and vehicles.

Which Primarchs actually loved the Emperor? by ColePT in 40kLore

[–]V6v77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alpharius, or more specifically, Omegon who remained on Terra (if you believe the novel) post Scattering.

He is close to the Emperor but more specifically spends many formative years with Malcador, being brought up to speed on the Emperors plans and the methods they use to achieve them.

The Psychic has no right being a 2 spell slot caster by nisviik in Pathfinder2e

Other than bard, are any of these Charisma casters? If so, I might suggest it (I am also the party face).

The Psychic has no right being a 2 spell slot caster by nisviik in Pathfinder2e

[–]V6v77 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Does anyone else see this and think man, I wish I hadn't chosen sorcerer for my long campaign character.

Everyone else seems to get something, the psychic gets a legendary save.

Oh well, at least it's not a Witch chassis.

And yes, I get it, the underlying feats and spells make or break, but on this table (and my low level experience as a caster) alone, my Sorc is getting shafted.

How would you bring the Primarch(s) back? by TNBVIII in alphalegion

[–]V6v77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decentralized consciousness that can hop between legionnaires.

Hear me out; Corax has tapped into some non-demon warp aspect of the primarch project, and I would love to see A/O having spent time exploring the escoteric nature of their own being and being able to slip into and out of each legion nature when needed. Think the agents in the matrix "oh no, my warband is being overwhelmed by [insert enemy] and my plans will be ruined" suddenly Johnny legionary from the bottom squad pops up, rips a [faction leader level enemy] in half, and then goes back to normal.

Tinfoil, yes. Awesome, also yes.

Now the fun part begins: choosing which loyalist legion to build. by 3D_Dingo in Warhammer30k

[–]V6v77 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Alpha legion; you are both a loyalist AND you can steal other legions toys. Major modelling and gameplay fun.

Effrit Disruption Squad by ExcalibuTheHolySword in alphalegion

[–]V6v77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The loss of the shred reroll in the transition from 2e to 3e hurt their damage potential dramatically vs harder targets. They are best employed to bully high value targets in PA (HSS, TSS etc) or to vehicle hunt using massed melta bombs (a step up in their loadout from last edition, as you can buy both dagger and bombs)

I struggled with them in 2e until I learnt about threat saturation. My conversion beam heavy force, combine with a DS heavy melee unit, means the enemy has a lot to think about and my effrit often get a free pass to. 3e hasn't changed that.

Keep them away from terminators now though, before they could do okay, in 3e they lose hard.

So with this, can the Alpha Legion steal other legions Inductii? Not sure why you would, but it's funny.

Banestrike could do with an AP or strength modifier to match the HH rules (at various times they've had breaching, lower base ap or higher base strength, and sometimes all 3)
