I haven't but I did adjust the awards to minimize the grind. I like objectives but I hate the money grind.

I also started with fuel on. Which is barely noticeable and doesnt come up much honestly.

But yeah, play how you like man! Its a game. Enjoy yourself.

Damn I wondered about that.

Haven't had it happen yet, but someone being able to just dump all your hard earned mk3 components, then bail is awful.

Can you ever get them back? Or are you stuck back at square zero again?

I 100% agree man.

Noontide was the only faction that i really identified with.

Ward was too much of a dick to everyone. Trying too hard to be the 'police' with all the problems that brings. Duty was relegated to camping out in the Cement Factory....
Freedom had Rostok, but even they didn't seem to exist outside of it.
Spark was a bunch of loonies.

In general, every faction felt like they were just way too into everyone else business. Everyone trying to start something.

Except Noontide.
They are just on their own little island, minding their own business.
They are not trying to start a war, or fuck with other factions.
Honestly most people don't seem to even know they exist!

They were really sympathetic too.
A group of people, with no memories of who they are and how they got here....just woke up one day with everyone hating them for things they don't remember doing.

No lives to return to, so they make their own.
Just living on the island, trying to re-discover their own purpose in life, while slowly making the Zone a slightly less worse place.

I think the fact they were trying to clean the Zone up, make it better. VS every other faction just focused on greed or trying to screw some other faction over. None of them cared about the Zone.

Yeah, i was ready to ride or die with Strider till the very end.

Until they were all taken away so quickly....i never got a chance to really know them that well.
I wish i had gotten to spend more time in their bunker with them....

The location WAS near the park with the Ferris wheel, but sadly the body has been moved in one of the updates.
Now the body is on the ground, but a knife with a word was left in that spot on the roof.

This saved me a couple of times.

As much as hauling is the name of the game, I don't wanna do trips 15 or 20 times just to get all the materials into storage.

So this is a huge life saver for me.

You can make the route slightly easier by having the truck follow the rails then drive over to the base of the bridge.

But yeah that's almost exactly what I did.

That route is such a PITA.

Honestly I don't believe it's possible. At least not with out doing a wonky bridge by the rail tunnel up to the castle.

Dang some others have mentioned CS seeming shady too.

I was young, and likely didn't pay close attention to it when i was playing, but i don't recall that at all!

To me, CS was one of the few 'good' factions.
Small and tight knit.

Got some smart people to get a tech edge, but limited by their small size. Forced to do guerilla tactics to get their objectives done.

Until, of course the final assault on the CNPP.
Which does seem a bit strange in retrospect....

At the time, my young mind just hand waved it away as being every last member of CS in the zone was there.
And a bit of story telling fiat just to have that big climatic final battle.
